From pills that he was taking for his back issues. His weight was in the 190s for the Rose Bowl. He’s put the weight back on and is feeling good as the combine approaches.

I’ve had gastritis. It is an utter bitch. It amazes me how anyone could think about playing football with a severe case of it. And I have to inquire, why was he asked to.

I don’t know whether to question Kalen’s leadership, the quality of our QB room heading in to next year, or both.

We should’ve had a guy ready to step up and not run Ty out there dealing with severe medical issues.

I support DeBoer but I question him and, significantly, the medical staff on this.

Dude was a warrior out there for us literally going down with the sword in his hand and people want to bitch and moan about his output.

I think Simpson insisted on playing because he knew this year was his only shot. If he goes down with injury, then his future is potentially gone.

side note, im more annoyed with his doctors. a healthy kid losing 25 lbs from a medication, and not switching him to another, is medical malpractice.

Seems obvious, to me.

We will hear literally every excuse yet not one can explain missing reads or not knowing how pr when to get down while running.

There was a bunch of excuses for Milroe as well when he was going through the draft process.

Diego I admire and enormously respect his guts and grit and toughness for going down with his sword in his hand but with what was at stake should he have been allowed to?

Two years ago we ran Jalen Milroe out there despite it being clear halfway through the year that he had been exposed and couldn't get it done.

Last year we were playing Ty despite it being clear he was badly injured, in major pain and couldn't get it done.

I'm not here to say the other two guys were ready this year or that Ty was ready last year, but when the same thing happens twice in a row it starts to become concerning given the fact that we run an offense entirely predicated on the QB doing all the heavy lifting.

2022-2023 were my last two seasons in the stadium. I saw Bryce Young not see wide open guys but I don't know how he was coached to read the play.

Complaining about missed reads requires a level of football knowledge generally about the game and specifically to that instance that most of us lack to be frank.

I don’t think we’re talking about his season-long issues, I think we are talking about his physical condition at the end of the season when we were in the running for the big trophy.

Jesus, you simply cannot miss an opportunity to take a shot at the guy. I know you’re still butt hurt over the fan base recognizing Milroe’s mental limitations and you were the last one to the party on that but constantly ragging on Simpson isn’t somehow “getting back at us”.

Well, honestly that doesn't apply to me.

I even got on Bryce on accuracy as well. Got a lot of angry reactions and DVs for blaming his inaccurate pass for why Jamieson got hurt. No one insinuated I hated the guy though.

Honestly this applies to every player and sometimes kickers (if you could believe it).

There is not one starter who isn't dealing with something hurting, nagging or worse but only one guy consistently gets threads or defenses for them.

In the end all that matters are results not the excuses.

I agree, but we don't know that they didn't. If he was having to take opioids to manage back pain and it was giving him gastritis they may have tried multiple different ones that all caused the same reaction. Gastrointestinal issues are one of the most prevalent side effects of pain meds and yet another reason we need to start treating cannabis like any other medicine. He sure as frick wouldn't have lost 25 pounds managing his pain with edibles.

We’re also talking about illness not the injuries everyone gets.

What is it they say about 800-pound gorillas?

yeah, buy its constipation related. Which wouldn't have caused him to lose that much weight in 1.5 months. He would have had to be shitting his brains out, and barely eating, to lose that much weight that quickly.
