USA Today's Blake Toppmeyer believes it's time for both programs to pack it up and rejoin the Big 12 as soon as possible, leaving the Texas A&M Aggies and Texas Longhorns, with whom they joined, behind.

Toppmeyer pitched the move within the confines of a larger pitch to ultimately rebuild the Big East football conference and restore regionality in the sport. Getting California's programs out of the Big Ten and ACC was a big component of the pitch.

I agree.

I thought I had lost that "hopeful puppy at the shelter" feeling.

At this point there are only like 1-2 Big XII opponents I would even care about.

Stupid.

I dont think this move will happen, but to be honest I didnt think we'd ever be in the SEC either.

I would be thrilled to go to Stillwater and Ames for football. They were both awesome hosts for visitors.
