He’s going to be an elite nba superstar sooner rather than later.

Hes got aura on the court. His speed with the ball is crazy

Incredible vision, great handle, so immediate with his cuts.

He never seems to get too down or too up. The only time his demeaner changed on the court tonight was when he was smiling a joking with Pettiford during stoppage of play,

Philon is that dude too. I think his speed to the basket caused at least 3 of our players to foul out tonight!
It was a great game, congrats!

Shortly before regulation play ended , I told myself
I have just watched one of the greatest college BB
games ......and then came double overtimes.

Dude played every minute and was the best player on the court. I dont follow bball recruiting enough to know how he was ranked, but that guy is amazing. Deserving of any and all accolades he receives.

He went to IMG and I believe, he was the #1 PG recruit in the country.

Yep, Acuff isn’t really surprising anyone that he’s Arkansas’s best player this year. He is quickly working his way up the draft board now. He’s probably an actual lotto winning slot pick now, not just in the top 14.

I don’t follow the NBA, but looking at his numbers and watching him last night anyone who doesn’t draft him early is going to regret it later.
He has no major flaws in his game.
Handle? Check.
3P? Check.
Dribble drive? Check.
Clutch? Check.
Outside of freak athleticism I have no idea what a team could be looking for that he doesn’t already have as a freshman.

Any NBA team wanting to upgrade their guard play should take a hard look at Acuff or Philon..... both are elite scorers with great floor vision. Make folks around them better.....
Heck of a game... sucks we came up short but honestly if we hit a 3rd OT we probably have to have player introductions in the huddle for the next guy to foul out. Not having Knox and Isiah tonight was probably the difference. Ya'll won the battle with attrition and more depth.
A rematch in Nashville would be fun!

Philon is really good. Best guard we’ve seen this year IMO.
That includes Flemings, Brown Jr. and Tanner.
I’ll get hate for Flemings but Philon is better right now to me all in.

Yeah, the depth situation for Arkansas was dire. Nothing to apologize for, 3 of our conference losses were with a starter out. We’ve been battling with the injury bug all season.

Acuff handles are as good as any I have seen.
Hes not the tallest but his handles are second to none. No one can stay in front of him. Him and Thomas are just getting it going.
He never looses control. Hardly any turnovers.
Thomas is a baller too. Great game.
If you are to young to remember these type games was regular back when we first came into the league with Mayberry and Day. AL had Horry Sprewell and Robinson. LSU had Shaq and Jackson and Ky was Ky.
There were high level up and down , down to the wire games like last night all the time.

Yes! Acuff plays beyond his years because he can be so confident in his ability to make it to his spots or blow by plus he's got sticky hands on the basketball. However, he made some next level finds in that game but his teammates didn't always finish. There were a few no-looks that he basically pinpointed it exactly where the pass needed to be to get his teammate into the shooting motion as quickly as possible.
Really nothing you can say other than he's got all the tools you need in a point guard.
