Until somebody steps up, this will continue to get worse.

We will soon see career "college" athletes. Players who won't make it in the draft will sue to stay in college.

Teams should step up and sue. Cancel the games with teams doing this.

Yes, the universities should shoot the golden goose that generates 100s of millions and funds the rest of AD. Genius!

Not their team. They can schedule other teams in place.

Choke off the teams doing this

Against all schools that have sued for injunctive relief over player eligibility? That's like half of the NCAA at this point.

Or should it also be against schools have have sued the NCAA in general to get relief against imposed penalties, etc... too? Since that also hinders the NCAAs ability to govern and helps the school suing?

I don't care what they do to the goose as long as they are consistent. They gave a Montana player a 9th year, seriously? The NCAA has been around way too long not to have a ruling on Chambliss' situation. For it to even be debatable at this point is ridiculous. Now, Ole Miss still could have sued with there being plenty of similar cases over the years just like his. Find a friendly judge and can get any ruling you want. NCAA suspended an MSU player back in the 70s for a suit of clothes. Tyler kept playing him after several years, they ruled against State. Back then I think you forfeited rather than vacated. It was like 20+ games. Right or wrong, NCAA had teeth back then. Now, they are toothless and scared to death of legal battles.

And here is someone who doesn't know how athletic conferences work.

Imagine local judges for each of OleMiss road games issuing TRO against Chambliss playing in that game, rulings coming in emergency sessions Friday night

Calm down, dumbass. He was seeking a 4th year on the field. If you want to be upset, why not be upset about the kid that just got a 9th year and the one at Miami that got an 8th year?

Historically corrupt Southern States behaving as they historically do.

Like sands thru the hourglass….

He had like 5 season ending knee injuries. I feel like someone should have stepped in and said maybe this isn’t for you.

The ruling was nonsense, the judge knows it. Just doesn't care. The appeals time line gives Chambliss what the law doesn't

I'm not aware of any schools suing.

that's the adult version of a kid throwing a temper tantrum.

you better accept it sooner rather than later...this is the new way. These kids aren't college athletes anymore. They are paid employees of the university on a one year contract.

UF will refuse to sue because the UAA is filled with people who love to take principled stands while losing ground to everyone else
