Stowers and Pavia. Stowers will be selected as high as Day 2. I can't imagine Pavia gets picked.

They should be. Only 39.8% of their team last season were Seniors or Graduate Players.

Aggy Draggie with all that talent and couldn't beat Texas and Miami(both lower ranked at the time) when season/conference was on the line.

Only? That’s the highest number in the SEC and by a significant margin.

This coming from a person that is a fan of a school that has hosted DraggieLand on campus going on 5 years now.

Good question. Here is what it looks like they've lost on offense:

Passing - Pavia - 29 of their 30 TD passes and 3,500 of their 3,700 passing yards.

Rushing - Pavia was their top rusher, but they get their top 3 rushers after him...so they are losing around 850 of their 2,000 rushing yards from last year.

Receiving - Losing Stowers who was their leading receiver in receptions, and 3rd in receiving yards and TDs. Also losing Richardson in the transfer portal (lead receiving yards and TDs), Hoskins is was a Sr., but I think he still has a year of eligibility remaining. Of their 3,700 receiving yards, they are losing around 2,000.

Kicker is coming back and he's all-SEC caliber.

Yeah...sometimes sarcasm doesn't come across on posts.

Boy, that's a really tricky metric to quantify though (for any team), because those guys could be a senior-laden, experienced team that came back to school and dominated the competition, or just a group of older guys that nobody wanted so they decided to hang around.

Same for the freshmen — like the talent level of that class at Georgia, LSU, or Alabama are probably not the same as at Kentucky or Mississippi State.

So I'm guessing this obviously skews younger at the top, with a few notable exceptions like a random Indiana-type?

The tough part would be identifying those anomalous rosters, I guess.

The top five:

Texas A&M: playoffs
Alabama: playoffs
LSU: 7-6
Georgia: playoffs
Oklahoma: playoffs

It is clear that, except for one outlier, the more talent a team has the more success they will have.

It's not a troll thread. You can disregard this one.

Let’s have a serious conversation then. How did LSU only win seven games with that much NFL talent?

If I thought you were interested in having a serious discussion I would engage, but you're only here to flame the board.
