Cancels a home and home with NC State. This makes the 3rd ACC team we've canceled, Miami, NC State and VT.

Explain to me again the advantages of a 9 game SEC schedule?

South Carolina to cancel future home-and-home with ACC program

So SEC fanbases can moan about having beat each other up too much come playoff time when they lose.

TV $$$$$

We can like it. We can hate it. We can bitch. We can moan. We can try to provide logical arguments about how dumb or shortsided that is.

TV $$$$ is the answer to the question.

You enjoyed people griping about the time between matchups?

Literally could not care less about this issue. OMG, Texas A&M and UGA, who have never had any history, continue to never play each other. What will we ever do?

More even SOS within the conference.

I understand why the teams who have an annual OOC rival (UF, UGA, SC, UK) may not like it, but when everyone goes to 9 games with 6 opponents rotating every season, we’re not going to see the vast differences in SEC SOS like we’ve seen in recent years. That’s a huge plus.

Also I get to watch Auburn play in every SEC stadium at least once every four seasons. Auburn making just two trips to Gainesville since 2003 is an abomination. Glad that is now rectified.

9 game slate is the next in a trend of dumb decisions from Stankey's regime -

USC & NCSU mutually agreed to void the contract - the ACC is also moving to 9 games so the wuffpack fans can begin to get fired up about traveling to the Atlantic hot spots of Berkeley & Palo Alto

We should at least play each conference member. HOW LONG has TA&M been a member & WHEN did UGA travel there (as SEC members)?

There is no advantages for the SEC.

The advantages are for other conferences who happily will play a ninth game against an easier foe while we will have to play a ninth game against another legitimate threat.

It's the stupidity of Sankey. The guy has literally been this conferences downfall

Our issue is against an all-SEC schedule ending the in-state rivalries.

Or 11 SEC games + the SEC/ACC matchup prevents us from playing anybody else.

Image Aub.-Ala. never happening.

if UGA wasn't hell bent of keeping DSOR & WLOCP y'all would've already played Aggy -

I know. How dare us keep 2 of the SEC’s OLDEST rivalries going.

I don't fault UGA for exactly that purpose - but don't come and bitch about the collateral fallout of the choice - it's tone deaf -

Arkansas will never make the playoffs, so your SEC jab is invalid.

We didn’t get more tv money adding a 9th conference game. Big swing and a miss by Sankey

Ok I'll play. Which would get more eyeballs, SEC vs SEC matchups, SEC vs ACC matchups or SEC vs AAC matchups?

To me, I enjoy playing our SEC brethren, but in reality, the most compelling match ups of the year are "power 4" OOC matchups. See Texas at Ohio State, LSU vs. Clemson, Alabama at Florida State, Texas A&M at Notre Dame, UGA vs GT SC vs Clemson and Florida at Miami last year.
