Anyone else watching Seattle and worried that our OC could be a major issue?

I know it’s been discussed some, but they’re literally dominating the Super Bowl the year after firing Grubb for having an atrocious running game, and Bama immediately has our worst running game in nearly 50 years.

I hate that we’re going to be so young at OL and QB, because people are going to absolutely load the box on us if needed to stop the run and force us to pass next year. I won’t be surprised if people are calling for Grubb’s job by November, but hoping he can turn things around.

Well, he didn’t have Geno Smith last year at Bama, or the college equivalent of Geno Smith.

Have a little faith. I truly feel the O line will be improved with better coaching and some quicker players. Other than Brailsford, we had 4 incredibly slow guards and tackles who consistently got smoked all day every day.

Yes, most of the new O linemen don’t have a lot of starts, I’m pretty sure they’ll be quicker, which is huge. They will have better coaching. This makes a gigantic difference.

They’ve scored 12 so far. Hardly an offensive display.

The thing is their OL still sucks but this OC calls a bunch of runs where Walker can do his patented A gap to C gap jump cut and make something out of nothing.

Grubb didn't do that and that is silly because he had a real weapon in the backfield for a bad OL team.

Klint Kubiak was the OC for the Saints last year.

They went 5-12.

Ty averaged 237.8 passing yards a game under grubb, geno averaged 254.1 they may be more equivalent than you think.

Pretty sad attempt at cherry picking stats. Ty had 28 TDs to 5 INTs. Geno had 21 TDs to 15 INTs.

In case you struggle with math, that means Ty had 33% more TD passes than Geno while Geno had 300% more INTs than Ty.

This entire thread is embarrassing. Just stop.

Darnold BTW just missed another wide open deep route and if he had been accurate they would have 21 more points.

This game is all about Seattle's defense. They have made this game

Ystar - you just called something embarrassing right before making a statement that actually helps prove your embarrassing comment is wrong. How embarrassing

Sigh

You are saying they are dominating from offense. I retorted that they are dominating due to their defense and their QB while good isn't exactly playing amazing to support the fact this isn't about the offense; it's about the defense.

Of course...Grubb is absolute trash. Terrible coach that has lucked into NFL talent.

Seahawks HC is smart, fired his dumb arse immediately after a terrible season running the ball. Look at Seattle run the ball tonight.

I'm sure DeBoer will be following his awful OC out the door anyways.

I didn’t need Seattle to show me that Grubb could be a major issue.
