Which Athletic Programs Are Run By Boosters?

For example. Alabama used to be run by boosters. Primarily Paul Bryant, Jr; but there were others (see the Means debacle). That ended with Nick Saban, and it doesn’t appear to have returned yet.
Auburn is clearly run by boosters, primarily Yella Wood. LSU has become a Cane’s franchise. Florida has the Disney Gators. Clearly the two Texas schools have the oil tycoons pulling strings. What other programs are beholden to boosters and who are they?

Saban had a way of controlling the whole operation and that's why LSU became relevant
Cane's supports more athletics than lsu football or lsu sports
Cane's has NIL with several schools across the country and whatever local market they are in
Cane's supports a ton of high school sports in various states as well with sponsorships
Todd Graves didn't even go to LSU although he's a big fan

You can’t swing a dead cat around here without hitting a post from a LSU fan claiming “its not my money” or “Graves will pay for it.”

I'm glad you posted this. Cane's is a very charitable company, they believe in spreading the wealth and helping athletics organizations. Their generous contributions to high school sports are appreciated greatly.

The all knowing internet says Lipsey, Graves and McKernan are LSU’s biggest athletic donors.
While you are at it, why don’t you just go ahead and make this thread completely about LSU.

Every athletic department is beholden to the booster(s). If you want to control the media you need to know how to coddle them and let them believe they are running the show, Mack brown and Pete Carroll were excellent at this. Or you have to strong arm them with results and clout. Nick saban Steve spurrier and urban Meyer were good at this.

He is the guy who was pissed off he spent seven figures on last years NIL class just to go 7-6.

lol what?
Boosters ran off Mack Brown after the most success they’ve ever had and went on a decade-long run of dog shite
