The top Mardi Gras krewe has Kiffin riding as co-grand marshal.
New Orleans, a big LSU town, excited to celebrate the new LSU coach. Kiffin is a great cultural fit and has really energized the LSU fanbase.

Just out of curiosity, how would you determine who the top krewe is? I mean they are just a bunch of fraternities, right?

The two super Krewes are Endymion and Bacchus, but Endymion has almost twice as many riders. It is considered by the locals as the top Krewe.

History, krewe makeup, and parade route. It is similar to fraternities but if you’ve been in greek life then you know some are definitely better than others

Rex has the most tradition and is great for the blue bloods, but most New Orleanians would rather watch Zulu than the Rex parade. I always see both.

There are 3 universally accepted Super Krewes: Endymion, Bacchus, and Orpheus.
Iris is a Super Krewe if you go only off of number of riders.

Exactly. Rex is a bunch of old, white guys from Uptown, peeling off one string of beads at a time. Zulu is much more entertaining.
