You aren't referring to anything because you don't know how to read or decipher the meaning of English words. The plaque erected at the site where the French pirates landed at overnight is just a name that they gave the piece of land before moving on the next day.
There was no celebration, there was no parade, there was no society, there was no civilization, there was no krewe, there was nothing but a name arbitrarily given to the campsite where these pirates landed for a night.
The only reason it was named Point du Mardi Gras was because they happened to arrive there during the Lent season; that's it.
The only celebration they had was celebrating to touch land. The very link you provide with an image of the plaque refers to no Mardi Gras celebration of any kind, whatsoever.
Did you speak Cajun as a child in school? Can you understand English properly? Point du Mardi Gras in the English language, which is what most modern day Americans speak, means Mardi Gras Point. It doesn't translate to "there was a Mardi Gras festival/celebration here".
