He's a great prospect, but gosh damn, $4-5 million for a guy who isn't a quarterback is a ton of money

$4-5 million for one year for a "college" prospect. We have entered crazy land.

Bayou Bengals have his bag for him.

Any guy over $1M better be a 1-2 round draft prospect. Over $4M better be a Top 8 pick.

Respect if you guys don’t increase ticket prices or pass the expense on to the fans. These expenses should be solely on your boosters.

He's a projected top 10-15 pick in next year's draft.

This guy seems like a headache. Getting the Colorado staff to make a video for him as an “announcement of return” and then using as a portal video. Now out looking to get $$$. I just don’t think he’s worth it, but maybe I’m wrong.

You can rest assured Miami and Oregon do too. It's just a question of who says enough is enough.

He's an immature idiot. Like the majority of college football players. The numbers continue to escalate each year.

$5m for an offensive lineman that's only played at Colorado is sheer insanity.
I have a feeling in a few years we're going to look back and wonder how in the hell these guys made so much money for this brief window of time, because there is no way this is sustainable outside of professional sports.

Tho probably true, it was a rumor started by the Colorado Deion fans after he left passed on as true. And they started similar rumors of a few other players that left. So he might have or might have not.

He won't even get that in the NFL for years ... kids are going to start coming back from the NFL to play in CFB for the payday

Seriously, the NFL has to be watching this and thinking what this might do to their rookie contracts in a few years.

LSU spending $10M for Leavitt and Seaton to go 8-4 is hilarious. $60M+ on football in one season to still lose to Ole Miss is wild.

There are 160 official starters on OLs in the NFL.
If he makes $5 million, that would put him 99th among NFL OL players:
OL by contract average
Or 62nd if going off of base salary...
OL by base salary
That is ABSURD.
There is no way this is sustainable.
Hell, college players in baseball will be making more than AAA players soon (if not already).
