Cignetti might be autistic. Football is his "train obsession"

He definitely has a touch of something, but I respect the hell out of the guy

The older I've gotten the more I've realized a lot of really good coaches are on the spectrum

Much more likeable guy I hate to say.

Certainly a colorable argument.
Cig was able to adapt to today's new world, take a bunch of 3 stars and win a national championship at statistically the worst football program of all time.
Saban won with the bagman system for one of the most decorated football programs in history. As soon as NIL, playoff expansion, and transfer portal hit, Nick dipped.

That QB draw on 4th down was BALLS!!

At age 72 he dipped.

When asked what he was going to do next.... The ESPN crew expected the typical response..." I'm going to go to Disney World."
Instead, he simply said, "I'm going to have a beer."
I'll bet that he doesn't drink Bud Light.
But did he line himself up to be featured in a beer commercial. $$$$ ????

Bobby Bowden won a championship at 70 in 1999 (oldest coach to do it), and retired when he was 80. Between those two dates he won 4 ACC championships.
Saban had plenty of fire in him and had football not changed, I think he would still be coaching.

It was glaringly obvious to me for years that Mike Leach was autistic. He was autistic in a way that he couldn't hide even if he wanted to, but I'm glad he never seemed to try. College football was better with his personality in it.
I don't think Spurrier is autistic. I think he's just a good-natured a-hole.

The fact that he was able to do it seven times and come within a count hair of doing it several more times is otherworldly levels of operation, regardless of the method.
