"Among the 18 programs that cleared 50% in Bud Elliott's Blue-Chip Ratio for 2025, only five are getting through this two-week period with limited scholarship departures: Texas A&M (11), Clemson (12), Georgia (14), Notre Dame (15) and Miami (eight so far).
High-attrition offseasons were expected at LSU, Penn State, Florida, Auburn and Michigan amid head coaching changes, and Florida State losing 33 scholarship players after back-to-back losing seasons makes sense.
But Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, USC and Tennessee all had more than 20 scholarship players hit the portal in January. Even the programs that have serious resources must make tough decisions about which players they're willing to pay up to keep and which ones are asking for too much."
Indiana is a clear outlier.

At the end of the day, if you bring in the right kids, take care of them financially, and establish a good culture, the portal can only help you.

We lost like 30+ when we changed coaches. It’s expected to lose a lot these days when you get a new coach.

OKST brought in around 70 players for 2025, and then we fired the coach a few games into the season.
We had 60-ish hit the portal and have signed 50 or 51 so far.

Southern Cal until recently had the number one recruiting class. OSU lost three guys they really wanted to develop more but they also added a better haul than most people who follow the team thought they would get. As far as my opinion, I thought one of their best portal adds was the big 6’5” 235 lb QB who is a dual threat and is a fifth year senior. Justin Martin from North Carolina. Someone needs to push Sayin because he has no wheels whatsoever. They also got some pretty good wideouts. Big losses are two DBs who went to Oregon.

You don’t think there are a few options between that and him running the entire sport for years? Lol. Dude. Let’s get that brain firing bud.

So my options are
1) I'm scared
2) I think Cignetti is going to build a dynasty at Indiana
cool.
I think Indiana will be a relevant player (much more so than they've ever been) while Cignetti is there. I dont think they will have a Heisman QB every year, or realistically ever again. And no, i dont think they are going to "run the sport" lol
