They spent $100M to fire a coach, $100M to hire a coach, have a $100M payroll. Sure seems so.

Considering there are only 105 roster spots and we aren't anywhere near that, I'd say your number is about 75-80 million off currently.

Yeah. A&M has never overpaid to fire a coach.

Nah. They have a racist mascot named after a confederate battle regiment that fought against the actual yankees.

I’m an Ole Miss fan so believe me, I know racism when I see it

And LSU sure didn’t rub it in A&M’s face after they did, and now, are very defensive they don’t get made fun of for it back.

If LSU is the Yankees (27 World Series Championships) that would make Texas 8&4 the Seattle Mariners (never appeared in a World Series).

$150 million from the general fund, $160 million from the state via Taxes, $400 million from tuition/fees and they’re willing to spend it all on a football team

It’s cute that they pretend it’s coming from boosters though, “chicken tenders paid for it”

Lane was the reason they had to make a “no faking injury” rule, Ole Miss was literally cited as the case study, and now he’ll be responsible for a “college football salary roster cap”.

He has done some good to college ball. It’s not all negative as you see it.

LSU even paid Lane for advancing his team in the Playoffs.

quote:

LSU's Lane Kiffin Earns $250K Bonus After Ole Miss's CFP Win. LSU paid Lane Kiffin significant bonuses related to his former team, Ole Miss's, College Football Playoff run, as stipulated in his new LSU contract, where LSU agreed to cover those incentives, paying him up to $1 million total as Ole Miss advanced. Kiffin earned $500,000 from LSU for Ole Miss's victories against Georgia (Sugar Bowl) and Tulane, with potential for more if Ole Miss won the national championship, a unique clause in his LSU deal.

Are we back to the calling a banquet room a shrine?

You guys paid Lane half a million for his 2-0 playoff record. Looks like that’s worse than a trophy for Fisher.

Don't let that distract you from the "LSU is broke" trope this board constantly likes to parrot.

I mean, the children’s hospital robbery and Wade using a debit card to cover NIL before it was legal didn’t help.

Um, it’s children’s hospitals. Keep up.
