Since On3’s portal rankings are gospel per Old Piss fans, what does this mean?

Is one spot above Ole Miss really a flex for LSU?

It means LSU is going to be forced to hand over their off season championship trophy to Wisconsin

Play lost better players than Ole Miss lost. Ole Miss is gaining better players. Nice.

All of that shite is just a bunch of opinions anyways. We won't know shite until we see it on the field in the fall.

On3 algorithm is all messed up. 247 is much better on transfer portal.

I don’t give a shite. Just taking a piss. Ole Miss is going to recruit well and so will LSU.

The On3 algorithm isn’t “messed up,” it just doesn’t sugarcoat things the way 247 does. On3 looks at both who you bring in and who you lose in the portal, which gives a much more honest picture of roster impact. 247 only counts incoming players, so if a team loses a bunch of contributors, that never shows up in their rankings. That’s why their portal lists can look great while the roster is quietly getting thinner. 247 also hasn’t really evolved much with the portal era, while On3 has leaned into better weighting and broader data. If you like rankings that make your team look good, I get the appeal — but On3 is closer to reality.

But enjoy being #1 on the inferior platform...

I've quit giving a damn about recruiting or transfer rankings after watching Indiana this season. They are ranked 72nd in Team Talent Composite - beneath Boston College, Tulane, and even UTSA.

I don't think the evaluations are worth much for transfers. These scouting services excelled at evaluating high school talent with an assumption that those kids would go to a school and continue to develop. Now it's madness and I don't think they have any clue how to evaluate whether a former 3* recruit with five years of experience can become a top talent at different program. I'm not sure it's even possible.

It appears to mean that the players Ole Miss added were higher ranked than those LSU added.

Why don't you post Florida at #8?
