Pierre came in when Russaw got injured and had more production in half a season than Russaw had in 1.5 seasons. Russaw got passed and was probably going to need to position change to stay on the field as a starter.
James Smith is really close with Russaw and went in the portal the next day after Russaw bounced.
Smith is the only loss of note there. He's not a playmaker but he's a guy.
The fact those two committed together giving real Miss Nancy and Aunt Fancy vibes.

There were two players involved.
The edge guy lost his starting job last year.
The interior guy is his best friend from HS.
We replaced the interior guy with a starter from USC.
