Miss State school colors

Black football uniforms in the bowl game. Black uniforms tonight in basketball. Are you now ashamed of Maroon? If I were an alumni of that University for whatever it was worth I would be writing a letter to the president of the university!

The black uniforms are beyond stupid. I absolutely abhor them. 90% of the time we play like crap when we wear them. Our colors used to be maroon & white.
Now I don’t know…
I have said multiple times that I am okay with a special/throwback uniform once a year in football and a couple of times in basketball/baseball but that is it. And they should never be black ever…
They are so ugggghhhh.

Depends on the sport. Football/basketball is about 90% when we wear black. Baseball (which is really strange) about 50%.
In general, the last three years, football has been about 90% crap. Baseball & Basketball have been reasonably successful in the recent decade.

A lot of schools with maroon SOMEHOW want to use black.
Then again, I've also seen green/black & blue/black.

The only black alternates I can think of that actually looks good are teams with red as their colors, and even then, black needs to already be one of them. Georgia and Louisville actually look good in blacks. Alabama and Stanford do not.

A lot of SEC schools had grey alternates, which actually all looked good with different colors, and is kinda cool as an homage to Confederate colors as well.

And stick with either the oldninterlocking MSU logo or the new State cursive logo. Those both look great.

Agree. State’s maroon jerseys and gray pants are sharp looking in football and baseball. Basketball just needs to stick to basic white at home and maroon on the road.
But if black is not one of primary colors then it should NEVER be part of a uniform combination. Even a special one.

Oklahoma also wore black uniforms yesterday. And Aggie wears black uniforms. I guess they are ashamed of their colors.

In general, I'm not a fan of schools wearing black uniforms if it is not an official school color (see some of Florida's black uniforms over the years in various sports).
I like that AU has dark navy so no need for black. Our fans have started wearing the powder blue some, as a throwback the 70s/80s style baseball uniforms. Baseball wore it in the fall. Interesting to see if it keeps showing up. AU hasn't gone all in like Ole Miss, but I'm a fan so far.
