Should have went up and got the ball if they wanted the W. Plus ball was overthrown.

Maybe it was a makeup for the 2-3 missed PI calls against the OM db

“Mutual combat”

Though I was shocked the refs didn’t throw the flag as it seemed OM got all the 50/50 calls up to that point.

And the receiver had him by the front of his shoulder pads also. Go rewatch it. The only fair thing a referee can do is “no call” that.

PI or not, no ref is going to call it in that spot. Not for Ole Miss, at least.

That never gets called on a Hail Mary, for ANYONE.

If the tables were turned, Ole Miss would have lost their shite if their DB gets called for PI on that last play and loses the game.

But I'll say this, I never thought Ole Miss would even have that shot with such little time left. 2 plays and there they were.

Maybe it was overthrown because the receiver was being held for 20 yards

And yet Miami was holding on offense and defense the entire game. Rewatch the Beck touchdown run and observe the entire left side of the line holding. There were a couple of plays where the announcer commented that Miami was holding but nothing was called

Refs allow for far more hand-fighting in a Hail Mary pass situation. It’s always been this way.

Which I agree with.

A flag would’ve been brutal here. It’s on ole miss to be in a position to have a realistic shot to score at the end.
