Baseball Pre-Season Thread

We suck royal taint at basketball.
So it's on to baseball season
We light tjis candle 5 weeks from tomorrow.
Cautiously optimistic about this season. I thought we would be horrible last year and we played over our heads. Bats came alive. Pitching was thin and it showed.
We obviously build around Hunter on the mound. And most of our offensive production is coming back.
Go Rebels. Let's play in June. And Go To Hell LSU!!!

Perfect Game came out with their Top 25 today.

Well see, this is the problem. I fully realize preseason rankings mean little, but they do have some underlying meanings. First and foremost, they vividly illustrate that since that natty Bianco has managed to totally take the shine off this program. As I have said before, things have grown stale, and I'm just not sure the powers that be have the gonads to sit Mike down and say what needs to be said.

We basically have the same team as last season, so it's kind of weird that we aren't ranked, but then again, it doesn't surprise me at all.

We've somehow lost our street cred.
More on that poll, six of the Top 10 are SEC and even USM is ranked. Wonder how our baseball budget compares to theirs? I'm sure it pretty much dwarfs it.

I think you can argue that plenty of teams took a step forward with their recruiting while still retaining the team and we only retained our team. I really do hope this is the last year for Mike and we move on to Godwin.
