All of Matt Campbell’s and Cingetti’s players followed them, why didn’t Lane’s?

Iowa State and JMU’s entire team transferred with their coaches, yet it appears Ole Miss may actually add more players from LSU’s roster than vice versa. What gives?

Obviously Ole Miss’s players won’t enter until after they’re eliminated, but Chambliss and Lacy are pretty telling on how that locker room feels on the matter

We've already re-signed the vast majority of our starters who have eligibility to return.

Honestly, the win v. UGA in the Sugar Bowl was crucial. A lot of players then really started thinking "why not Ole Miss? We can win it all here"

All of Golesh's players seem to be following him as well. Hopefully that is a good thing.

Think we've signed 6 or 7 from USF now.

Most coaches let their players be the focus. At LSU, LK will be the focus.

Not bashing you OP but I remember when James Franklin was crucified here for gutting Vandy when he left for Penn State.

Has the narrative completely flip-flopped?

Iowa State and JMU weren't still playing playoff games when the portal was open.

But you already knew that.

Yes. Because it's LSU. Because it's Kiffin.

Lanes players are still playing because he built them into a winner, which is why all of you are so scared/obsessed with Lane Kiffin at LSU.

Because Ole Miss is not JMU or Iowa State.

Whether or not Chambliss wanted to leave OM, he has not yet been given an extra year and LSU can’t afford to wait for the decision while they have zero QBs on the roster.

Remember that Chambliss was very non-committal when asked about his future in December

What a fukin retarded question.

One team is in the playoffs and the others are eating leftovers from Christmas at home.

The idea that Ole Miss is a powerhouse without Lane will soon fade in obscurity.

But Lane needs to get on that Portal because what I’ve seen him pull in so far is less than impressive.

Every other post is about Kiffin and LSU. KDS is real and plenty of people here have it.

Even though this is a troll of a question

quote:

Chambliss

Not guaranteed a waiver, how can LSU sign him and let other portal QBs go sign elsewhere with the risk they are left empty handed, they cant.

quote:

Lacey

We are bringing Berry back who had a great freshman season. Lacey likely doesnt' want to split carries and we certainly don't and shouldn't pay $2M for part of a RB committee. RB is a commodity.

Pete was the DC so why would any defensive players leave.

Just a shite troll attempt or you are a moron.

yes, because the transfer rules are radically different now

fwiw, thus far only 2 PSU players have followed Franklin to VPI

A total of 7 million dollars probably feels pretty good.

You guys suck at trolling.

Remember people saying that Ole Miss would never be relevant after Freeze and the NCAA issues. It sucked for awhile trying to recover from the bowl bans and losing our roster, but this looks like a completley different situation. Yes Kiffin deserves a lot of credit for making Ole Miss kind of the cool underdog and got the alumni to buy in to the portal idea and how important setting up the right system was. But just because he left doesn't mean we are going to forget about what made us successful. Yes, we got rid of the stupid fricking basketball goal, but how to analyze players, recruit in the portal, and market the program is staying the same. We just have a coach now that wants the focus to be on the school and players and not himself.

Give it a rest, I mean sheesh, every day a poster from another school is talking about Lane and LSU.

Funny thing is, everybody knows he loves attention, and this is probably exactly why he came here, LSU gets national attention, even if we aren’t in the playoffs, even if we aren’t winning, you will think and talk about LSU.

We didn’t force the man to come here, it was his choice, let Ole Miss put their big boy pants on by themselves. I understand ole Miss fans feeling betrayed, I don’t blame them, we felt the same with Saban for a long time. They’ll be alright, they don’t need every other SEC school white knighting for them.

Obviously the defensive players are Golden’s guys, them staying is expected.

However with Chambliss and Lacy decisions, why does LSU still expect any of the offensive players to leave either? The leaders are staying and Golden has now firmly entrenched himself as their HC in meaningful games they’ve won. Whatever influence Lane had on them has now been usurped by Golden
