That was a tough way to go out, but I truly dont see this season as a complete failure. Indiana is better than Alabama at almost every single position. They showed everyone that stars and rankings really dont mean jack and you better have quality talent evaluators on your staff. I think Deboer and Morgan have that ability due to the fact that the best players the last two years were Washington transfers. I think some people on this board seem to forget how far we already had fallen when Saban left. We also seemed to forget that 15 was put as the backup to Milroe by two different coaching staffs, and a lacrosse player started over him. I think he played his balls off to the best of his ability, but he is severely limited because he wont just let it rip. The throw Mack had down the sideline looked better than any single throw Simpson made all year. It didnt help that our OL (which has been dogshit since 2021) couldn't protect and cant run block, but at the same exact time we have the worst RB room in power 5. It's insane that you can watch any other playoff team and their RB's make guys miss non stop and I dont know if we broke 15 tackles this entire year! It's pretty amazing when you think about it that this team won a freaking road playoff night game when the talent and coaching just isnt there at key positions. I think Deboer will at least fire Kap, but hopefully Gillipse and Ballou will go with him.

I truly believe CKD will have us competition for a playoff spot every single year, and all it takes is your team getting hot at the right time. Kirby Smart is the closest thing to Saban (besides Cig) and he finished in the same exact round as we did and he didnt lose half of his roster two years ago. Dont give up now fellas! We will be back and I cant wait to see it. RMFT!

I can't say we took a significant step forward this season compared to last season. Hard to see that and not consider it a failure.

Agreed with you up until then. Ty had some great throws prior to Missouri where he supposedly got injured (looking like he did,) but still made that great 4th down throw to Brooks. He was also locked in against UGA in Athens. Not sure how far a healthy Ty could have gone with that OLine though.

Being the #1 seed in the SEC after that schedule, then making it to the playoffs and winning a road game is definitely better than last season.

We lack toughness and discipline. Until we have that we will lose games that we shouldn’t lose and get soundly defeated by really good teams that do play with toughness and discipline.

Indiana buttfricked us for 60 minutes. I don’t know what you expect from us? I feel like the discussion on here has been in line with the product on the field.

When I saw that throw, I might have said a bad word because there’s no way anyone with a brain could tell me that Ty Simpson is better than this kid. It had the same feel as when Tua came in for Hurts.

Went from 9 to 11 wins, but man, the losses were bad. No big wins. Some nice wins, but they were all grinders. Can’t say we didn’t get better overall but I don’t have any faith this team is going to win any championships as it’s constructed. 2 of the 3 games at the end were blowout losses where you got your shite kicked in. Terrible look. I’m not optimistic.

Ty has made some great throws, but he wouldn’t have hit that throw if he attempted it 20 times. Not that accurate and not with that zip. Both of these young quarterbacks have way more arm talent. It’s not even close

It was a successful season on paper but we looked like an FCS school in the SEC championship and the Rose Bowl. Fans are not frustrated because we didn't win a championship. We're frustrated because we've become the type of soft, west-coast program that we use to make fun of. We still win a lot of games but regularly get physically dominated by the top teams in the country. That's not acceptable and not tolerable long-term.

Until they fix the OL and DLs, this will be common results each year. Have decent seasons but be broken by a more physical team when it matters.

Here’s some sunshine pump, #1 Oregon got skull drug and was down 34-0 at one point in last years Rose Bowl. Now they are right back in the Semi-Finals a year later.

'Bama won't be lacking talent. #3 class last year and the #2 class coming in. Hit some portal transfers at key positions and hopefully get Russell ready to take over, and 'Bama isn't going anywhere.

We'll all be waiting to see what happens with the OLine coaching decisions, or else it won't matter.

The more the day goes on, the better I feel. The fact that the team took one on the chin actually gives me more hope for next season. Im super interested to see how this staff pivots. I think the younger players are gonna be highly motivated to differentiate themselves from the way this season ended(and started)

Simpson has done that throw multiple times. It’s just finding the gap in the zone coverage. We threw that exact throw against Georgia and Oklahoma and have a few plays where the two outside stacked receivers set it up

He doesn’t have the zip of Mack, but Mack also seemed to get stuck on processing and at times was wildly inaccurate. He got Lotty lit up in the redzone

I’d still prefer Keelon after yesterday if we’re picking a QB next year

Nah, this coach and his players are charmin soft mentally and physically. He was a terrible fit from the start and is a dead man walking at Alabama.

Man I’d hate to see his record against hard arse coaches like Kirby and Lanning

Muschamp was a hard arse and sucked. DeBoer is a quiet personality but the fire is there and the players yesterday, even the Saban guys, made it clear they’re behind him. Pretty sure his personality is fine.

Mack had a few throws and the rest he had the same deer in the headlights as 15 trying to run this F up offense all the while dodging defensive players.

Spare the BS about 10 being on another level.

We have elite talent, blown out 2x, offense disappeared for multiple parts of most games. Next year is make or break, way to soft and often play with lack of passion, like yesterday. 1st game of the year, how do you come out with no passion or life?

Mack completely missed a wide open Ryan Williams with a 10 yard lead. It was rough.
