All trolling aside, how are Bama fans feeling about the future with DeFour in charge?

Are these just growing pains before he finds his rhythm, or is it the new normal?

They held a rally to denounce him. Even criticized his small town farming heritage.

He's a decent coach, but he won't overcome that arse whipping in the Alabama hive mind. Ever.

Alabama is in their Les Miles era.

I’m not the first to use it.

I’m just glad for another program to wear the “4 loss hat” for a while.

Elko pushed our drop off out a few weeks this year. I just hope that curve is an intercept and not asymptotic.

I didn’t think he was the right guy when he was hired and I still feel the same, even more so. A decent coach, but not good enough for a program with the history and expectations of Alabama.

The problems go beyond DeBoer and probably require a cultural do-over, but I don't think anyone honestly believes KDB is the guy who's able to fix it. Most would say he's actively making things worse

No one would be complaining today if this team looked remotely like a Miles-coached team

I will make the same defense of him that I made for BK at the time.

He isn't trash right now, he's winning over 70% of his games.

Who else are you realistically going to get that's absolutely better?

You have to give him at least another two years to get the buyout down.

I don’t understand how they haven’t gotten a billionaire backer yet. Hell lsu has 2 that didn’t even graduate from lsu.

He also just made a sec championship game and won a playoff game. You can’t fire a coach for that. That’s ludicrous.

Agreed, they were talking about giving him an extension. That'd be a mistake in my opinion.

They will not give him an extension after the last 2 embarrassing games.

I think he's a good coach in a position no one would succeed - following Nick Saban.

I could see him also wanting out of Tuscaloosa because of that. So Bama may get lucky in that regard. Be curious who they go after if that happens. Lanning?

He just doesn't show much passion in winning (or losing for that matter). The obvious difference between Cignetti's attitude on field vs DeBeor's 'meh look' surely affect the team. (It personally drives me crazy). After two years I see no difference and don't think it's gonna change.

Bama fans are that dude who has a smoking hot girlfriend in HS, then judges every future woman by that standard.
Who in college football right now is the "Saban"? There isn't one.

Simpson was a top 10 QB (statistically) this year. Bama had a similar problem to LSU; Their OL stinks. If there is a sacrificial lamb in the next couple weeks, it has to be Chris Kapilovic.

Chanting "Kill Defour" is something I wouldn't be surprised hearing from the trashiest fan base in all of football.

Another man's death?
