The same slow decline
The same denials
The same "it's just one season "
The same "we are Nebraska, of course we're going to be good again "

It's kinda creepy how simular the fall of Alabama is following the same history as Nebraska.

Nebraska is an actic waste land much of the year with nothing for an African American athlete to do. Bama isn't close to dipping to Nebraska levels.

This. You can stop the comparisons right there.

That's not how Nebraska fell, nor was it a slow decline.

The fact that you said this not once but twice is amazing and pathetic.

Bama's fall feels much closer to Clemson/LSU/Florida.

Slow burn with a lot of denial.

LSU has more tools in place to be resilient though.

Nebraska voluntarily unhitched its wagon from fertile recruiting grounds.....this is always a stupid comparison/overreaction that usually comes out of midssouri fans mouths.

Meanwhile LSU would have made the 12 team playoff a total of 1 time over the past 12 years.

Except you only have 1 season in the past 12 that didn't have at least 3 regular season loses.

Alabama's season this year would have been LSU's 2nd best season during that time period.

False. They would have made it in 2018 and 2019.

They were ranked 11 in the last poll before the playoffs in 2018, with 5 conference champions already ranked ahead of them.

Bama will never stay down long, they have the most bought in system there is. Politicians, BOT, HS admins, sheriffs, professors are all bought in.

They just need the right coach. Probably Cignetti after they run Debore off next year.

You would have not made it in 2018 because you had 3 regular season loses. You would have left out just like #11 Alabama was left out in 2024.

Jump to drastic conclusions much?

Check back with me in about 20 years if Bama has never returned to the playoffs, routinely sits in the bottom third of the SEC, and has gone through about 4 or 5 coaches.

And I don’t say any of that proudly. It sucks.

Bama will be fine.

Let him go on, it's what LSU fans have to do to keep them in their delusional world where some how Bama is worse off than them. "Just let him finish, Clark."

I'm looking at LSU's performance post Saban.

Alabama is off to a rough start comparatively.
