I disagree with your premise because it’s not like there’s a good replacement out there that’s a solid upgrade.
That said, it doesn’t absolve DeBoer and discount the major red flags that are now apparent.

NOT saying KDB is answer… far from it… but name ONE coach we could actually, realistically pull that would come to Alabama, and be successful… not a fantasy, Kirby, Sark or Lanning… just ONE… go…

Who saw Cignetti going to Indiana and doing what he’s doing now ? Turned out to be a brilliant hire. Look at the coaches left in the playoff bracket. Cristobal, Lanning, Cignetti and probably Kirby. All of them are hard nosed, physical style coaches. Alabama has always had that kind of identity as a program. DeBoer simply doesn’t fit with our identity. It’s the truth whether people want to admit it or not. Sadly, I expected to lose today. I didn’t think that it would turn into a snuff video that the whole world got to see.
