If the Texas OL adjustments were implemented prior to Week 1 and if Baxter was originally 100% but only to compliment a bruiser-type back that was never on the roster to begin with.

Their inability to run the ball is what's prevented the rest of the offense to work at a reasonable pace. Defenses were teeing off on pass pro all season because Texas couldn't develop a legit run threat.

Exactly

Should have could have would have.

Good momentum to finish off the year and go into next year.

I just hope the tape he’s putting up tonight will be tape they can show to transfer WRs and RBs to show them, “Hey, if you’re looking for an established QB and offense, this is what we have coming back.”

There was too many evaluation/development misses at IOL and RB. I don’t know if it was hubris or incompetence from Sark. We had the same guys in the Spring and Summer practices. You couldn’t see your backs were limited and banged up? You couldn’t see your IOL were below serviceable? It was a total botched season for sure. I’m amazed they got to 10 wins, credit to the immense talent of the roster.

God forbid hypotheticals be discussed here - a pillar of serious sports discussion.

Would beat the brakes off Georgia and Alabama right now.

You do realize that Ohio State had a new quarterback as well, and Ryan Day has said he used very vanilla play-calling because of that. Both Texas and Ohio State had a lot of new players and new coordinators, and it was the first game of the season. Both teams are vastly different now than they were in Week 1.

No they wouldn't because Ohio State got better as the year progressed as well. Arch was starting his 3rd or 4th game and Ohio State was starting a RS Freshman making his start and any meaningful snaps week 1. Its a 38-20 type of win for Ohio State.

No one is beating the brakes off Georgia this season, and no one has in a long time. Texas would whip Alabama, though.

That and the god-awful amount of penalties.

Would both teams have a million opt outs in rematch? If not then kind of hard to judge

Arch was also throwing footballs at WRs' feet and WRs were dropping passes (Wingo on the final play of the tOSU drive and also other games)
