I've never claimed to be an X's and O's expert.

But, I think Indiana's game plan is going to be to drop back and play coverage. I think our running game can have SOME success against IU, especially if they play the pass. But, I think the time for protecting Ty is past, and we should have maybe 5-6 designed runs for him. First down, empty backfield, IU dropping back, and let Ty just run to space. He's too good of an athlete to let teams ignore his legs.

It is the time of year to take off the guard rails and just play to win. When it’s one and done, you shouldn’t worry about injuries as you did at mid season.
I say that not knowing his injury status which you have to consider.

They are gonna drop back and try to stop the run with just 4-5. We have to make them pay when they do that, somehow.

We won’t. The first time we get less than 7 yards in a carry, Grubb won’t even try to run.

They want to be able to be effective with Play Action. If Ty is able to mix in the threat of handing off for 4 yards then he can really get a defense on their heels.

Unfortunately, i think defenses arent even concerned with the threat of run. So nobody is gonna bite much on the fake.

I think we can make them pay. We need Jam to play his best and Hill to be fresh.

Ty should run at least 7-8 times every game. Nothing new or provocative here.

It’s came up big against Oklahoma, Auburn, UGA, etc. all of our big wins.

Don’t care if they are scrambles, etc.

I mentioned that in the other thread. He needs to run when he can. We can kill a team’s momentum with that.
