So LSU is going to pay Blake Baker $3.1 million a year

Connor Weigman just lit his D up for ~300 yards of offense and 4 TDs with no turnovers. Yes that Connor Weigman. Not to mention that little RB Connors averaging 8 yards a carry. No way he sees year 3 of that contract.

They are trying to blame on the starters not playing.. if the defense don't have good backups just shows bakers is not doing his job

LSU scored 5 Touchdowns and somehow your entire fanbase is throwing Frank Wilson under the bus ?!?? I'd think that's the most points LSU has put up against an FBS opponent all season right ?!! A TD in the kicking game and 4 more offensive scores all for nothing because Houston cut through Baker's D like a hot knife through butter. That guy's a frickin clown.

This was a meaningless bowl game with a bunch of backups playing. His defense was good the entire season.
They were in the #100's in 2023 and moved up to #25 last year, and then #8 this year.
Baker wasn't the problem.

You assembled him the #1 portal class in the country on the defensive side of the ball and you'll finish middle of the pack in the conference in total D and probably outside the top 5 in scoring D. He's not that good.

Currently #6 in total, so upper half. But that's with teams like Mizzou who played weak schedules ahead of them.
#4 in scoring.
If you adjust for opponents, LSU had the #2 defense in the conference behind Oklahoma and #8 nationally.
A meaningless bowl game with a bunch of backups doesn't really do anything for me.

Houston just ran it down Baker's GD throat to the tune of 200+ rushing yards. Combine with that Pickett and the other 5 star busts in your secondary getting put on toast by Conner frickin Weigman and you'll finish 8th in Total D. Then there's the whole 38 points given up. The Longhorns' roster hasn't quit like yours. They'll shut down Michigan. You'll fall behind Texas and Mizzou in scoring D. You'll be out of the top 5.

If he did that to us what do you think he would have done to y’all’s defense? After all LSU defense was better than Ole Miss defense this year. And as someone pointed out yall made Golding the HC. Yet here you are trying to troll. Do better. Get out of your mom’s basement and interact with the real world.

Baker’s defense gets exposed by older QBs. If he doesn’t have NFL dbs all over the field he is toast. He struck gold at Mizzou on the backs of 3 NFL quality dbs we had for 2 years.
