In this case as it would turn out we didn’t miss much. Our team seems totally unaffected by Lane absence. I mean when you really look at it as much drama as he created for 5 weeks on his way out, the team didn’t seem distracted by his constant dabbling into Florida and then LSU. I mean if you measure the importance of someone by the void the create after they are gone, it’s like he was never here.

Oh and LSU is really cute trying to thump their chest as if they did something that will change the game for them. Lane may win games but he doesn’t play for championships. He does run scared though.

I am glad he came but more importantly I am glad he left. So much more peaceful and stable without him.

Merry Christmas losers!

One game. He's been gone for one game.

And y'all are borrowing our offensive coaching staff.

When your season ends, they are coming to baton Rouge and Pete has to hire a new one.

Good luck with that

It’s about to change for LSU and OM in the coming years. I didn’t realize some of you were still at Stage 1 of the grieving process. You declaring that nothing’s changed while you still have LSU coaches running your offense and a team that Lane built is comical. Give it time . Tic Toc things will become clearer shortly. Might better order some extra chicken tenders to get you through what lies ahead.

I honestly was ready to see him go because this latest coaching carousel was a doozy. I hope we don’t do it again next year. UF was always the threat and they really screwed the pooch. Unfortunately BR didn’t put it all together either. He was so ready to bolt. Just like in 2022. Fire away. But I thought you deserved to know. Good luck with Drink or whoever you get.

OK, Bayou Bengals, Nice try but Lane is staying

The Ole Miss hump of the LSU leg is growing tiresome, mutt.

I'm not saying Lane leaving is not detrimental to the program I have no idea. I will say I did not know much about Pete, I heard the DUI stuff from years ago and I never really heard him talk or anything, but I have to say I'm kind of impressed he just seems like a normal guy and I like that.

He seems like a straight shooter, now that doesn't qualify somebody to be a coach but what do you guys think makes a coordinator become a good coach?

1. The ability to motivate people, let them know that it is possible to win, let them know that one lost is not define their season, etc. I always thought motivational speeches and that stuff is a bunch of b******* but apparently it works for sports and other things of that nature with a competitive spirit even if it's not true.

2. Hiring the right coordinators, let someone else handle the X'sand O's. I believe you're coordinators are more important than the head coach themselves. The ability for them to make adjustments at halftime, the ability for them to identify weaknesses and strengths.

3. I don't know how important this is but maybe having qualities that young men can look at and aspire to have themselves, everyone says be a leader of men.

) "It Factor" whether it's a real thing or not I suppose some coaches could potentially have this It Factor where are you basically have it or you don't I don't know how on board I am at believing this phenomena exist.

What other qualities do you think would require a coordinator to make the next step?

It doesn't seem that hard to do, what I mean is it seems like the average man has most of these qualities unless you truly believe something like an It Factor exists?

He says as Ole Miss plays with players and borrowed coaches, running the offensive scheme Kiffin brought in.

Check back in this time next year.
