Is there every expectation that LSU will #1 beat Ole Miss next year? And #2 Win 9 or more?

If both of these or one of these don’t happen, is that by any measure a fail?

With NIL who knows. It seems once some of these players get a big payday they don’t try anymore. I hate NIL and I really miss the old college football.

I don't know, LSU has a pretty tough schedule next year.

After all that money LSU spent? Yes, anything less than 9 wins would be a disappointment. So would losing to Ole Miss.

I have no clue. We need a roster revamp. We have a lot of money to do it. We have a coach that's pretty good and roster building. That's all I got.

What I can guarantee you is LSU won't average 21.8pts per game next year.

Ask after our roster is put together. Too many question marks right now.

Ole Miss has a much better roster at the moment and it will be the hottest ticket in Oxford in a very long time, so I don't expect to win. But the roster situation could definitely change in a couple of weeks, so we'll see.

We aren't winning 9 games without some major upgrades to the offensive line, period.

Broseph. This Ole MIss roster is about to be gutted.

Here's a stat to digest. No Lane Kiffin team has ever averaged LESS THAN 33pts per game. LSU averaged 21.8 this year. If they would've bumped that up to 28pts per game, LSU would've been 10-2 and in the playoffs. Is Kiffin worth one more TD per game? My guess is yes.

LSU has a tough schedule next year but judging LSU vs Ole Miss right now based on current rosters is silly.

I don't know if it really will be or not, I'd assume the defensive players will stay.

I also think LSU has a lot of young talent already on the roster plus I think Ole Miss will pay whatever it takes to keep most of their guys at home for optics.

Anything less is a complete and utter failure.

Impossible to say as both teams will look completely different in a couple of months.

LSU’s Quarterback isn’t even on the roster yet. Kinda hard to tell

Hard to say at this point until we see the roster.

I do think we beat Ole Miss, have a feeling their roster will be in shambles after the portal window closes and Golding is in over his head as HC.

Don’t know how much they are since their entire offensive coaching staff is in Baton Rouge right now.

Somebody give this man an upvote.

A&M learned ... you can't just buy Jimbo a winning team. And look, they're not the only ones to try. Hell - Kentucky pissed away money with the roster Stoops created. They're pissing money away now with what Pope created.

Its an interesting time to watch this. My take ? Some team is going to have to learn ... just like the conventional wisdom used to be back in 80s basketball that you could have TOO MUCH talent on a team .... that you can't win with all Five Stars. Somebody has to be the pulling guard. The tight end that just blocks. The second string LB that fills the B gap and nothing else.

My only expectation is that we’ll have a proven HC who focuses on his job.
