It was obvious after the SECCG Alabama wasn’t a playoff caliber team

Notre Dame had 2 chances and lost both

BYU should be. ND had no case. Texas has a better case than ND

BYU had 2 or 3 top 20 wins and the only team to beat them finished top 4. And one of those losses was in a conference championship game that supposedly doesn't count I guess. Clearly a better resume than Miami. But I agree texas had a better case than ND for sure and probably Miami too. And Bama wouldn't be 9 without their name

BYU is not worthy.
None of 9-12 are worthy that's why there's too many teams

BYU is garbage. ND didn’t have any good wins

BYU has one top 20 win. Their resume' is arguably better than ND. But not better than anyone in the CFP.

BYU got blew out by the same team twice..
I also don't buy that the Big 12 is a power conference... It's leftover bottom feeders that were supposed to believe magically are good now...

1 bad loss shouldn't outweigh who you beat. Anyone can have a bad week, qb injury etc. I'd rather the team that's proven they can beat playoff teams multiple times than the one that only beats up on crap teams and loses every big game they play

BYU has 2 wins vs teams who finished in the top 25:
@ #17 Arizona 33-27
Home vs #15 Utah 24-21
Miami has 1 win vs teams who finished in the top 25:
Home vs #11 Notre Dame 27-24
The only team to beat BYU all year finished in the top 4.
Miami lost to 2 unranked teams.
BYU finished with an 11-2 record which is already better than Miami's 10-2 record. According to the committee's ranking of Alabama, getting throttled in the conference championship game doesn't count so BYU's actual record was 11-1.
BYU was ranked one spot ahead of Miami until the conference championship game, which again, supposedly doesn't count.
There is no argument for Miami over BYU aside from the committe not wanting to leave out the ACC

Texas would beat all 8 teams playing this weekend.

Notre Dame is #9.
Way better victory on the resume' than #15 Utah or #16 USC
