Our enemies could not shoot us in the foot the way the parasites that feed off UGA for a living do.

Not saying these charges wont be dropped or haven't been dropped, but I have only seen one source mention that and it was a poster on another fan website. I have not seen the charges have been dropped by any of the UGA pay sites, dawgnation, Athens Banner herald, etc.
If someone has a story stating this please let me know or drop the link

Not the end of the world obviously, but our fanbase is coming across as some serious yahoos and bumpkins on this website today, and it's sort of embarrassing.
Other Georgia fans ran with as fact on the thread on the rant, and now this thread is starting to become a humdinger too.
Anyone with an entry level understanding of media would pull up Dawgnation and/or OnlineAthens and look for their latest headline on the story, and it would take all of 30 seconds to figure out.

Is this being reported anywhere other than by someone on a message board?

Not sure if this response was directed to me or not. I have been refreshing several sources for UGA news throughout the day and have only seen one well know poster on another site (swiftyman) mention these charges being dropped referencing the scanner not working correctly …Hence trying to see if there was some outlet that had reported differently.

I was agreeing with you.

Driving into Atlanta for a meeting this morning and was listening to 790. Steak Shapiro and his co-host as well as whoever they had on the phone never mentioned charges being dropped. They were talking about what Smary might do to address/punish the players. Talked about how ridiculous it is that players today would even be shoplifting. I was confused because I read here and on the rant yesterday that charges were dropped and was pissed that they had no clue that charges were dropped. I now I see why they didn’t run with charges dropped because apparently, charges stand.

Just read the other thread and noticed this quote...
I have never used an EBT card, but I have been in line where a customer sorted out eligible items from things like...paper towels, paper plates, napkins and air freshener.
If you scan these items in the self checkout, does the register delete them when you pay with the EBT? If you heard the beep and had other eligible food items, would you naturally think everything was paid for?
