don’t get to host a playoff game. Georgia and Indy both should get to host their game and then play the NC game at a neutral site.

People really can find something to complain about in any situation.

I guess it’s to keep the traditional bowls alive but i agree I thinj home playoff games are cooler than the fiesta bowl.

#5 and #6 seeds are the best seeds.

Can you imagine A&M or The U going to Columbus when it’s 10 degrees? Yeah that’s not ideal

my system fixes this, rpealce the CCGs with an extra playoff rounds
16 team playoff with the format of the SEC baseball torunament (also used by Big 10 basketball and others over the years)
First 3 rounds on Campus, Simi Finals and Final are neutral sites
Top 4 get a double bye the Quarters
5-8 Start in second round
9-16 play first round
Using ranking from before CCGs cause I wouldnt have them:
First Round 12/6
16 Tulane @9 ND
15 Utah @ 10 Alabama
14Texas @ 11 Byu
13 Miami @ 12 Vanderbilt
Host Second Round 12/13
8 Oklahoma
7 Ole Miss
6 Texas AM
5 Oregon
Host QF 12/20
4 Texas Tech
3 Georgia
2 Indiana
1 Ohio State

Still can’t believe a team as bad as Tulane is in this as an 11 seed. Absurd. This should move to NO BYE so the #1/2 seeds get the easy games.

Agree, and byes need to go. In 16 team CFP, we will get 8 first round home games. No team should ever advance a round without winning on the field! NO BYES!

Completely agree. First round should be the bowl game neutral sites. Second round hosted by 1-4. It also gives more incentive to be/stay in the top 4.

No it’s not
They get to play fewer games.

I live in Indiana. It’s going to be -3° tomorrow night. I am really glad I get to go to the Rose Bowl.

I’m in Ohio and we are getting the same weather. But by next week, it’s supposed to be in the 40’s. That is perfectly fine football weather

I actually agree with this.

As long as the top4 teams are basically going to be playing the conference championship game, the claims of a bye week aren't really legit. Because Georgia for example is going to have the same amount of rest as Ole Miss and Oregon. Same for TT, Ohio St and Indiana.
That's why I think the #5 and #6 seeds are best. Better to miss the conference championship game, especially if you are in the SEC and then you get to host a home game against what is likely to be a cupcake G5 DEI team, like JMU and Tulane.
So you get the same amount of rest time, and then a tuneup game at home.
It's a terrible system.
Maybe if not for the AQ crap, then it would be teams like Vandy, Texas, Notre Dame or someone like that.
