What this actually does is drop BYU, putting Miami and ND next to each other, which means Miami *should* jump ND and get in the playoffs

That is based on what the committee said matters last week.
What matters is what the committee will say matters this week.
And nobody will know what will be until after the rankings are released (with whoever they want in the playoff conveniently satisfying the new criteria, of course).
