the last 5 years has seen us surpass UT/LSU in many of the major categories to where we are pretty clearly the 2nd best SEC program of all time. I'm not counting the midwesterners that are here now, they aren't actual SEC teams.

Of course, us and Auburn to an extent get a bump from the fact that this does not include our home games at Legion Field, which for a large portion of our history included almost all of our difficult games.

True. And none of the UF-UGA WLOCP results count against them except for the couple of games that were played on campus when the Gator Bowl was being renovated for the Jaguars.

Hince why cherry-picking times is pointless.

There is no such thing as the Big 6. It only exists here and it's stupid.

quote:Yes there is. "The Big 6" refers to the 6 teams that for over 50 years have won the SEC football championship. No other SEC teams have done so, and that is a lock to stay so this year.

LSU, Bama, Ga, Fla, Aub, Tenn

Bama played mostly cupcakes at Bryant Denny up through the mid 1990s.
Georgia and Florida remove their toughest game from their home stadiums.
This is a stupid stat.

Just for fun, Ole Miss’s little Vaught Hemingway Stadium: 436-163-11 for 0.722
Also higher than the world renowned “Death Valley” in Baton Rouge.

According to Google, Bama is 101-38-12 in Legion Field. Some of those would've been considered Auburn home games, but when you add them all in the record becomes 430-92-15, which is still 80.07%
Not bad. Not bad at all.

Bama has LSUs number in Death Valley. LSU actually has a better record away than at home against them. Just a weird quirk.

Up until 1990 Florida was trash. Post Urban Meyer Florida has been trash. In roughly 130 years of playing football Florida has been our toughest game for a mere fraction of them so I think you're overstating a bit how much that would affect the records listed in the OP.

How dare you forget the 1911 Florida team? Undefeated at 5-0-1.
Time we pull an Auburn and claim that natty

If you look at this list 6 of the top 15 are the Bug 6 of the SEC. There are 2 big 10 teams and Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska from whatever the frick bastardized conferences they have belonged to over the years. The same is true of winningest programs of all time. These 6 played one another regularly for 100+ years and are on these lists with 2 from one conference and 3 from a couple. There are 2 on this list that have been annual
Opponents of UGA most years, UGA and Clemson
