Why do LSU fans think we are "melting?"

I'm really glad we are done with Kiffin. He was a shitbag. I think we won in spite of him a lot. I'm glad that he was able to galvanize our fanbase to contribute to the program and he brought us national attention, but the dickhead was a psychopath and it was time to move on.
I'm not super happy about Golding but I don't know who else out there was any better this year.

I agree. He motivated us for sure, but he’s benefited a whole lot over the past couple of years from the infrastructure Keith and Walker have put together.
Also, an adult HC like Pete would have let Bentley play. I can’t wait until he pull some petty bullshite like that in BR.

Definitely no melt here. There's a majority of me, to put it mildly, that is glad he is gone.

It’s because there’s been an information vacuum from our end for a few days and LSU fans believe that you’re weak or hurt when you aren’t blasting your opinion at the top of your lungs on tRant.

They are melting over Lane not keeping a few coaches on staff more then any of us melting over him leaving.. Lane show us the truth him when he left here.

For example, if you watched our Florida game this year, I'm not so certain that he wasn't trying to frick us. Those calls were questionable. I'm glad our D stood up and got us the win.

Maybe because we should be. Here is mine:
At the moment I have the excitement of the playoffs to offset some of the short term pain. But after our run in the playoffs is over the long term pain will begin to set in. It will probably begin with the loss of key players/more coaches following the playoffs, then level off until the fall when I see that school enrollment has stagnated or declined and then level off again until I see our record about 6 or 7 games into the 2026 season. Unless something dramatic happens, my melt will be fully marinated within a couple of years.

I don’t think they think we actually are melting. It’s just when you refute their BS with the factual narrative they hit you with the simpleton response of “cry harder,” “melt,” or “cope.”
Whenever I see that response I know they just lost the fight.

We have to be honest with ourselves, we were melting as it was unfolding. The Year 7 really pushed them over the edge and payback is warranted.
I am done melting myself, especially after we move back to 6th. We do not need Kiffin to win games, we needed him to build the brand up.

That’s because they’re a subspecies human not capable of logical thought.

I’m just not sure Pete inspires that same level of branding
maybe we can just focus on the football now.

The only melt I had was when I realized how bad Kiffin was trying to frick us with Sumrall. And he did. I couldn't wait for his arse to go.

That was when we said "frick it, we ball" and just trolled the hell out of them.

Nah, by the end of it, Keith was just waiting on a way to get him out. We kept the offer on the table for PR... "They won't let me coach my team" kind of shite. We knew he had agreed to take the LSU job 11 days earlier. That whole "I'm really torn" and "I'm going to pray about it" pissed me off because I knew he was gone already.

Henry was melting all over the rant all week.
And this is either a melt or a cope lol.
But for the most part I think the board has been fairly level headed. It sucks to lose a top 5 play caller in the sport but we have infrastructure in place to keep the program moving forward.

I’m getting so much déjà vu from the BK hire. Hundreds of “SEC is just scared” posts when anyone says anything about Kiffin. No, we’re really not.

You're better than this, Landmass. Y'all won that game by 10 points.
Y'all are not going to implode with Pete and keeping continuity was the right call, but don't sit here and try to convince me or anyone else with your revisionist history that Lane shouldn't get 95% of the credit for building Ole Miss into what you are today. Y'all were 20-28 in the 4 years prior.
