If tweet fails to load, click here. TIFWIW, but the guy who tweeted this out also broke the story of UCLA and USC leaving the Pac 12 for the Big 10.

really no reason to doubt this. we know what sankey is and what CFB has become.

I wish we could go back to 10.

Not my first two picks by a longshot.

Apparently we took a look at FSU and said, "Nah, we've already got two teams whose bands play the same song over and over throughout every game, we don't need another."

can we just not, we haven't even played our new schedule, yet.
I don't know if I can make it through another offseason of permanent opponent speculation and scenarios.

A gif fitting both of them after the first football season in the SEC

I don't see UNC leaving NC State and Duke and to a lesser extent Virginia. Maybe Duke but NC State is literally part of UNC and the politics of leaving them high and dry would be hard to believe. Clemson I could see. FSU I could see. UNC/NC State as a pair I could see.
That said I didn't think OU would be able to leave OSU but NC State is much more potent politically than OSU is in their state.

The only reason to do this is to preempt the Big 10 from getting the best programs left.
What will be interesting to see is what Notre Dame does. Their membership in the ACC for all other sports takes a hit without UNC and Clemson… ACC basketball is already a shell of what it once was… but take our UNC and it’s a glorified mid-major.
Meanwhile their scheduling agreement with the ACC is garbage if you remove Clemson. I’m not sure how the ACC can even continue to demand Power 4 treatment if you take Clemson out.

Works for me as long as FSU is left out in the cold (or forced to play in the cold Big 10)

I'd rather have NC State over UNC. I lived in the Raleigh area for a few years and the Wolfpack fanbase is much more SEC-like than the Tarheels. They reminded me a lot of South Carolina fans. Their team may suck and have no future prospects to not suck but they still show up and enjoy the tailgating and overall college football experience.

So make a conference 24 teams and have 3, 8 team divisions and play the rest 1x every 4 years or so.......I understand it is $ but it shoukd have stayed 12 at most.

The strong sentiment on expansion from the commissioner has always been that they want to expand the footprint outside of states the SEC already occupies. Texas was the exception to that because of the massive brand they are.
North Carolina maybe, but I don't see Clemson given that South Carolina is already in the SEC.
