Now trying to “play nice” with Ole Miss and sent out a statement “I’m ALLOWING Charlie Weiss Jr to Coach the offense and I’ve informed the committee.”

That's nice of him. Ole Miss should send him a gift basket. If I was the committee, I would rank them at 14 since they don't have an offensive coaching staff.

He’s throwing the black bears a bone. Wouldn’t considering this saving face. Weird that ole Miss will let CWjr come back with how they’ve been acting. They must be desperate.

He's allowing him to coach Ole Miss, which if said move leads to Ole Miss winning, makes himself more money. Right, nice. Solid.

Your boss just lets you do whatever? This isn't a Mcdonalds.

Most bosses don’t allow employees to continue working for a competitor after they’ve already signed on and started with their new employer.

Weiss got on the plane & currently works for Kiffin so… you’re wrong but carry on.

Let’s say I take the $1000 dollars from your bank account, and I give you $100 for your trouble. You cool with that?
Who uses somebody else’s dog to help with their image? Somebody that doesn’t have a positive image.
What would your thoughts be if LSU made the playoffs and Bama took the majority of your offensive staff?

That’s true, but no other boss has jumped ship during a playoff run and left his team hanging either… until now.

What’s unique is ole miss not allowing him to continue coaching …

This is a bad analogy. If I have $1000, I own that money. I don’t own employees. Also, the employees in question were offered to Ole Miss for the playoffs, Kiffin included.

If I’m in the athletic department I’m thinking I need offensive staff for the playoff run, and I’m appreciative when experienced people with knowledge about my offensive scheme are provided to me.

Now name a P4 coach that has done that.

Is Ole Miss allowing Weiss to coach? It seems like allowing him to coach defeats the purpose of not letting Lane coach.

It’s not a bad analogy. Coaches cost money. How many coaches did you take and how many are coaching for OM that you took. See now?

Here is the deal, the damage has already been done. Sending over one coach isn’t likely to make a difference (at least in terms of winning a championship). Do you honestly believe OM still has a legitimate shot? I’m not hating on them, but I think the emotional toll this team has endured will not help them.
And if Lane is really generous, why didn’t he let all the coaches return?

Kirby smart was an assistant. James Franklin left Vanderbilt after the season.
What P4 head coach left their job for another P4 job during the season?
