What is going on at Vandy right now just blows my mind. Never thought I would live to see the day but I am enjoying it. Must be some mega bucks being thrown around that program at the moment.
Kudo's to Clark Lea for sticking around when I am sure he could have went to bigger places.

Nate Bargatze doing work.

And then 5 minutes ago Curtis himself claims he doesn’t know where all this is coming from and he’ll keep us posted. Wild.

Supposedly none of the flip stuff has been coming from Curtis himself, entirely fueled by Curtis’ representation and Barton Simmons feeding info to Loy and Wilfong (which isn’t wrong, as GM he’s allowed to do that). Curtis has remained silent and his mom has maintained her support for UGA the whole time.

Married to Vandy - doesn’t seem like the type of guy that would leave for a few extra bucks in the middle of a playoff run, or anything like that.
I think Vandy has their guy long term.

Trying to ramp up NIL $$. See Ryan Wingo two years ago. Either way tho, if Vandy can indeed flip him, great job Vandy rallying around Lea.

Didn't his agent recently come out & say there were no other offers? That doesn't exactly seem like something an agent would do to drive bidding
Either way there's absolutely smoke on this, I'd be more surprised to see him stay at UGA at this point

Unless we're willing to up our NIL for freshman (Which I don't think we will or should) that, coupled with no path to immediate playing time will make it really difficult to land one of these high 5 star QBs who want to be the guy from day 1.
Same thing happened with Raiola last year. Recruiting has become brutal lol. We need to shoot for the 4 star QBs, hit the portal for proven guys (Kirby more willing to pay out) or when the stars align, such as when our starter is in his senior year, then go after the 5 star guys with a solid offer and a chance to compete for starting job.

None of this matters with transfer portal. Not crapping on Vandy what they are doing as a school who never cared about football until recently but this shows what a commitment these guys have made and Lea. They need to enlarge and update their stadium and facilities soon to keep this ball rolling.

Good on Vandy! I couldn't imagine getting my shite pushed in year after year after year in football and then being shown relevance in actual title and award conversations. I'm rooting for them to continue with some success they deserve a little sunshine!

I'd rather see NIL money like that go to an established portal QB if we're going to bring someone in.

I'll rather they beat us for a top recruit than to beat us on the field.
