Other than possibly OM (jury out on Golding), seems like everyone did well with their hires.

Not like they had a lot of options though.

They did it to themselves. Did they really not back channel anything? Ole Miss will dry their tears in a couple days and realize how much Carter f'd them over.

They could have kept Golding as interim and then hired literally any fcs or even group of 5 coach who would have been more suited.

It's risky. They should have named him interim and told him he was the leading candidate or something. Then it would have been smart.

But I don't think he's as bad a coach as most Alabama fans do.

This I agree with. And if he wouldn't accept the terms, then let him follow Kiffin to LSU.

If they get Stein or Hartline, they'll be the only school that did.

Probably made a knee jerk move to try and keep some recruits. Not that it’ll help. They needed a bigger hire though. I agree

Florida, and Auburn made great hires IMO. If Arkansas really gets behind him, Silverfield can do good things there even as hard a job as that is.

They missed a great opportunity to hitch a ride on the plane with Lane and hire Blake Baker.

I like OM’s move. If they went the interim route I think they’d have a much tougher time holding the team together.

They'd have been hard pressed not to.

OM aside, although that's just a fricked six ways to Sunday situation.
