I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed.

I don't have it in me to be angry about Arkansas sports anymore. Oh sure, occasionally I'll still yell at the TV when we make a boneheaded play or the ref messes up a call. But overall I don't let it overwhelm my day anymore.
Some might call that maturity. But I just consider it no longer worthy substantial amounts of my time or financial investment.
This hire was no surprise. The only surprise would have been if our administration hadn't found a way to screw it up. Thankfully they are as predictable as the results on the field.

I like watching good football. Who keeps watching TV shows that suck or kill off the best characters; while giving fans of said show the middle finger. Why should my support of Razorback football continue when it’s obvious the program doesn’t give a shite about the same things I do.

Im not disappointed, because it’s the level of hire I expected. Just mad

Because we had a chance to right the ship and get this program turned around. And those pieces of shite didn't.

I don’t even care. I’ve spent 20 seconds thinking about Arkansas football today. It’s over. It’s been over.

I’d be more disappointed if I didn’t see this coming from the beginning. I said Hunter doesn’t like to fully extend his arms, so he would never reach. I said I bet someone has already called/dm/pm/back channeled to Hunter that he wants the job, and that was the guy from the start. Everything else was hope and dreams. I figured it would be Odom, but apparently even that would be too big of an ask.
Hunter gives a frick not about the big 3 he just wants to win a directors cup and see his name in headlines. He is as worthless uninspiring leader as we can get. We should fire him and watch him flounder into obscurity. Jeff Long has the same motivations, but Long had the media on his side after they fired everyone’s favorite villain, BMFP. Hunter has done nothing exceptional.

Yesterday, I was mad at what a stupid team we have from the top down, with a few exceptions, and I was sad for those few having to lose like that.
I'm okay with the hire because it all remains to be seen. The ones doing the hiring are supposed to be experts at what they do. Even if they're not, they know more than I do, and even our fellow posters. Crazy, huh? So, I'm in. Skeptical, but willing to be fully won over.

I don't know about HY, but Jeff Long was an absolute worthless POS. I wish him nothing but ill will, and hope his Thanksgiving consisted of overcooked bio-engineered turkey.
Here's a question for everyone upset... WHO are the money people who continually make these bad hires happen? That's who is worthy of public ridicule... Hunter has to wade through the pathetic idiots who thought hiring Pittman as a HC was a good idea, and thought firing Petrino the first time was a necessity.
Until there's a new generation of Money around Arkansas athletics this is just another chapter of the same shitty book.

This the expectation for our athletic director, poor decisions and outright incompetence. Strictly reacting to events instead of being proactive with foresight with plans in place.Missed opportunities, firing Pittman last year and not being in the situation with multiple historically better P4.programs being open. Firing Sam two months ago only for an underwhelming hire to be presented to the beaten down Razorbacks masses. Doubling down on shitty decision after shitty decision to save a few dollars. Always shortsighted in his thinking and looking for quick praise instead of building something substantial. frick you Hunter and powers that enable you.

well crap, in total agreement here.
Even BP would have been better to keep at less $$$

Maybe, maybe not, we’ll never know because it was obvious that wasn’t going to be an option. If Bobby could have won a game or two in his what seven tries, there might have been a chance. I sure there would have been a ground swell of support for him but he couldn’t even win a game. Not one.

Yea. If BP wins the Auburn, State, and one more game he is the coach today.

I am pretty much through with Razorback football. Too many years striving to just be mediocre. I have emotionally disassociated and distanced myself from giving a crap.
I will watch with a mild interest maybe, but not care when they lose. Because I am used to it.
We don't have the money, nor the population, to compete. Likely never will.
As far as Silverfield, I have nothing against him. Can't, because I know very little about him. He did beat Arkansas, and it appeared his Memphis team was prepared and played much harder than we did.
