LSU wanted the coach in high demand and Lane wanted to coach somewhere he can win a natty.

Ole Miss’ team this year is not good enough to win a natty. Lane isn’t screwing them over. Grow up. This is a business. People are saying Sankey should get involved. That’s ridiculous. Stop crying.

Their defense isnt good enough. They might win a game in the playoffs, but they arent talented enough to rip off 4 in a row

The following teams are better than Ole Miss:
Ohio State, Indiana, UGA, Bama, Oregon.

If they played any of these teams, they would lose.

Then Lane should pass that information to the playoff committee and end the controversy. It’s my understanding that all the teams should be able to win a championship.

Ole Miss people are beyond delusional about their prospects in the playoff even with their staff undisturbed.

They didn’t even make it to Atlanta.

Ole miss fans need to be grateful that he brought them to a point they've never been.

It's not that Lane left, it's how he left. He made it all about him and his ego and has destroyed an OM that had a legit shot at a NC and drug it out so long that OM is screwed on the coaching market. LSU fans will find out how awful Lane is when he does this to them too. It's his history of screwing over teams that give him a chance.

Ole Miss has lost one game this year to a top 5 team on the road where they led in the 4th quarter by 9 points.

Get outta here with that nonsense.

Ole Miss has played maybe two teams that are currently ranked by the CFP poll. They’re not as good as you think.

I don’t fault LSU for hiring Kiffin or Kiffin for taking the job. I do think Kiffin is being childish in thinking that he should be allowed to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs after taking the LSU job. In the transfer portal era, Ole Miss simply cannot allow that. So, take the job and move along. Don’t cry about not being alone to coach in the playoffs.

That's Kiffin's fault. What does the program have to do with that?

The college football calendar is what's causing this. So a coach that has his team in the playoff can never change jobs?

That's not true at all.

Lane could have taken the job and not try to burn it all down on the way out the door.

He could have told the staff to stick around and coach the team and then join him in BR.

Instead he told them to leave now or they would be replaced. He also met with players to get them to sit out.

Watch Lacy!

Plus Kiffin wanted to coach Ole Miss through the playoff instead of leaving them coachless and LSU said "OK we'll wait".

This situation is 100% on Ole Miss.
