We live off South Harrells Ferry. I think I've seen 2 bikes using those lanes in the year or so they've been there. Money well spent
We get along fine. He's about to retire though.

Yeah I will never be one of those people who are like “SUMMER IS THE BEST SEASON !!!!!!!’”

It’s easily 4th by a wide margin in terms of favorite seasons

Agreed if you live in the South. It's probably great in Washington, Alaska or Maine, but it's easily the worst of 4 here.
That's the other great thing is that everything is less crowded on Mondays too.

I still am in a pretty good mood on Thursday night anyway and Friday at work has pretty good vibes.

Fridays after lunch are usually really quiet for us. It's not uncommon just to leave an hour early.
I always take Monday when I need to burn a day. You get more bang for your vacation buck as Monday's are usually way more busy than Fridays at my office.

Same. My wife and I were sitting right behind the goalpost where it went through.

Hood trickled over from Baker and Scotlandville. It's happening in Central too I'm afraid.
Thankfully my peak partying days were in the 90s and it turns out that I didn't miss much.
Yeah I have paid access through work. I use the free versions for personal.
Ate there a few weeks ago and I thought it was excellent.

Also those people are mostly morons and under 10% beat the returns of the S&P.

Why don’t more financial advisors and articles focus on how a person can invest and possibly make money now so that be used now instead of decades later when that person is elderly and probably has much less time to enjoy life?

Warren Buffett became a millionaire at 32 and a billionaire at 56.

Because the way most people make money is just owning assets for decades. Very few will get rich quickly.

My youngest, my twins, are headed off this week. About to be an empty nester. Will be so strange. Hasn’t been just the wife and I since January 2001.

Mine has been mostly gone from 16-18 anyway, so that part won't be much different. I'd see her maybe 10 minutes per day, but I'd still check on her before I went to work.

I think the weird part will be that I know she's not coming home. My wife and I get along fine, but it's going to be different.

IM closing in on 2. I started late and had shite jobs till going to college and graduating at 26. I am banging it into my kids head to start early with $50 buck increments letting it compound

Yeah, even paying in what little I could afford back then made a big difference. I had 2 kids in daycare when I was in my 20s. I couldn't afford to contribute much. Now I'm about to have another one in college.

I've been paying into investment and retirement accounts since before the Dotcom bubble crashed. I only look smart now because I'm old

I also realize these could take a 50% haircut in 5 months
My wife used to get so pissed at me when she couldn't get our youngest to sleep. I'd go grab her and have her out in 10 minutes

That kid is moving off to college in 2 weeks unfortunately :wah:

I fly a lot for work. When I retire I'm never flying again.

I completely understand this, and felt the same way after doing it for a long time. I'd have to think about all of the times I've been stuck overnight in an airport or some shitty town.
I remember flying pre-TSA, and it was definitely a better experience. I don't enjoy it anymore and avoid it whenever possible. I traveled for work for a decade though, so I've had enough airports for this lifetime.

I have to fly about once or twice per year for work now, but we own the planes so that's not too bad.
