I can't see myself making it to 98.
Yeah, I use them. I'm not a germaphobe though. I think it's one of the main reasons why I almost never get sick. I get sick like once every 5 years.

Our office is closed but I'm still getting paid. Should I go in alone and grind away?
I got a 1993 Nissan hardbody in 1994. It wasn't brand new but it only had like 13k miles on it. Paid 8k IIRC.
Hell , almost 20 years ago now. Didn't they have a kickoff return and it wasn't like they went right down the field on us? Ted Ginn Jr?
I have a great job that's close enough to my house that I can come home at lunch and take a 30 minute nap in my recliner after eating lunch.

The amount of BS he was gotten would make me pissed off too if i were him.

5am is a bit early to cut grass though. I do see the frustration

I'd agree, but these aren't really houses on top of each other. I don't know if the neighbors in question are across Blackwater (my best guess) but it's not like being in a neighborhood. There are plenty of vehicles passing in that area that time of morning. It's not 200 yds from Hooper Road.

Source, I grew up right there. That property the church is on was supposed to be developed as a shopping center. They had the signs up for 15 years in an empty field
What are y'all going to do with it when he starts driving?
If you were born in 1978 you were 30 in 2008 and well into your career. You got to participate in one of the greatest stock market bull runs in history. You had the opportunity to buy much cheaper real estate and refinance it for 2.5%. College tuition was 1/5 the cost it is today.

I think people our age also had some advantages over people that are younger than us.

Actually sounds less painful than us having another kid at almost 50

our youngest turns 11 in July, so I have a while

We told them we were going to take random vacations during the middle of the school year and send them pictures. Maybe a little mean
I think we'll try to do something cool for 25. We'll be empty nesters in August though. The kids are about to be pissed when my wife starts posting pics of us from Turks and Caicos in October

Neither of us really drive a lot, so thankfully gas is pretty much a rounding error in our household budget.

My 18 year old daughter drives a ton, but I mostly make her pay for her own gas. We pay for her car, insurance and phone. Go get a job you little shite
Ours is in a few weeks. We wanted to do something cool this year, but it's just not going to work out with the younger kid starting college a few weeks later and a few other things going on.

We usually just go to a nice restaurant if we aren't going out of town.
That's about what I have. I change the oil and air filter in it once per year. That's all the maintenance I've ever done in 13 years. Funny that the thing needs new wheels now because they are getting bald and messing with my traction
Can we have straight, Christian pride night in July? No, how biggetod of you.

I had a Husqvarna with a Honda engine that I used for 15 years. Ran like a top, zero problems with the engine. The rest of the mower fell apart around it eventually. I bought a fancy self propelled Toro this spring to replace it but honestly I liked the old one better.

I have a Toro with a Briggs and Stratton that I bought when we moved into this house 13 years ago. It still starts on the first or second pull.

I suppose this is the life of the Gen Xer for a while. I haven’t experienced it yet but wife has. God bless.

Yeah man, my parents are getting old, and they are divorced so I have to deal with them separately.

My in laws are both gone now.
Probably 70-80k too. They can keep em.
It's happened a few times in my career. Once due to a company buyout. Another time due to a leadership change where the new leader worked people like dogs.

Neither was all at the same time, but I remember when I was 3rd in line for my exit interview with HR for the first one
Essentially grew up off Blackwater, down a bit past Cotherns Tire. Baw country in the 80s and 90s. I still remember their grocery store with the Sunbeam bread lady on the sign.
