BYU and Bama lose in their CCG and that moves Texas in. That ranking of 12 isn’t out of the question.

Vandy and Oklahoma are more deserving than Texas. That said, none of those teams get out of round two so it doesn’t really matter.

You can’t lose three games including one to 4-8 Florida. Head to head matters if all else is equal, but Texas has an extra loss to a terrible team.

Not trying to knight for Texas by any means, but their head drunk has a point when he said “what’s the point of scheduling tough out of conference games if we get punished”

I could justify Vandy getting in, but OU, after yesterday, hell no

Then the ACC champ and G5 get in. Cut line is at 10.

Where is A&M ranked right now without that road win at Notre Dame?

Thats why you play those games. You are rewarded greatly for winning

We are conveniently ignoring the loss to Florida and 2 OT games against juggernauts UK and Ms State. That is why. Not the loss to Ohio State.

Well OU should also get credit for scheduling (and beating) Michigan OOC.

Why would Bama lose to Georgia? Deboer has Kirby figured out.

I think getting blown out by Georgia hurts them more than anything. That was their chance to show they belonged and fell flat on their face.

THIS can't be overstated. I don't think anyone is taking into consideration just how horrible UK is. I'd about go so far as to say having to beat them in OT is just as embarrassing as losing to UF. I mean Kentucky is a baaaaad football team.

Just so you know they have been wrong most of the season on their projections. I’d go with ESPN. They are usually pretty close.

PER SEC very own rules, why play conference games then?
BTW, These SEC tie breaker rules allow for losses to crappy teams.

5. Texas (6 - 2)
Above Oklahoma and Vandy based on round-robin record (not a full round-robin) due to a round-robin sweep (2-0).
6. Oklahoma (6 - 2)
With Vandy, below Texas based on round-robin record (not a full round-robin) due to a round-robin sweep (0-1).
Above Vandy based on record vs common conference opponents all played one time (6-1).
7. Vandy (6 - 2)
With Oklahoma, below Texas based on round-robin record (not a full round-robin) due to a round-robin sweep (0-1).
Below Oklahoma based on record vs common conference opponents all played one time (5-2).

I think Texas deserves to be in based on resume, but Alabama isnt dropping out with a loss in the SECC. Bama’s resume of ranked wins is even better than Texas’s.

10-3 Alabama > 9-3 Texas.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up too high given our recent luck against Bama.
