Nah, Texas is more like an annoying sibling. Was really nice not to have to deal with those assholes for a few years. Sucks we lost but looking forward to our home playoff game. Reminds me of '98 when Ricky Williams ran all over us in what they made into their Super Bowl (though we totally aren't their rival, I mean they really care about OU that's why they have SO many threads about OU). After that we won the Big 12 Championship. Hopefully same thing this time.
Went to the game and it reminded me why I don't like going to DKR even if we win. My son wanted to go so I went with him and by the 3rd quarter he told me "well that's a checkmark, I don't care about ever coming back here again".
I like what Elko is building and the program is going in the right direction. I'm also really glad not to be a Texas fan. Texas grads and those who travel are generally fine, the home crowd with all the sidewalk idiots though are hard to take. They don't know they words to their own songs. They cry like bitches at every incomplete pass or bad play for the refs. They don't have a fundamental understanding of the game. They love to try and act superior. Grads rarely act that way, especially in person and if it is it is good natured and with mutual respect.
Anyway, life goes on.

The problem last night was Texas clearly wanted it more. We were too focused on the next steps and people saying we might be better off with a Home Playoff game. I guess we will find out.
