Definitely was an off night for Gunner.

I don't know what the stats were but he really seemed to struggle finding and hitting open receivers.

He ran well.

A win is a win, but I wanted to beat them by 30.

Defense was really good.

Bad Bobo definitely came roaring back as well. Terribly called game.

I wasn't at the game so I don't know who was and waasn't open, but Gunner is probably worn out mentally after being a starting quarterback for the first time in 4 years. Being a starting quarterback is mentally exhausting and you have to build up stamina. Gaston and Glover could probably use a break also. They've been thrown into the fire and also had an off day today.

looked to me like we were taking what they gave us and Gunner was having an off night when we went to pass. Techs defense played us tough. The big win tonight was keeping Haynes king off the field.

I hope we don't make the SECCG. Get healthy and study future oppponents.

As for Gunner, I'd bet that Tech has analyzed every snap he's taken. They know his weaknesses, and as a first year starter he still has plenty of those.

If it's Alabama, then give me the SECCG. The next week would be really fun and there'd be a lot of build up, and if we beat the shite out of Alabama and knocked them out of the playoffs, that would be an epic chapter in the Kirby vs. Bama rivalary. But if it's Texas A&M, I'd rather skip straight to the playoffs.

Fully healthy, yes. Banged up, no.

I’d rather keep the first round bye than the SECCG. I don’t trust this committee to punish the SECCG loser to the point where we may lose home field and bye.

If we lose, we're probably losing the bye but we aren't losing home-field

That was a really bad defense we played. Have no real explanation.

Who knows.

Friday game….over confident…Tech playing their Super Bowl…etc.

We just need them to get ready for Sat now and play their best ball. They’re going to need it.

The talent equalizer is poor execution and we had it in spades in the passing game.

Why we didn't stick with the run in the first half is just another lack of consistency at play caller. Make them stop your run game first, then play action, throw in one or two cutesy plays but no where near as many as we ran yesterday

That would have been a poor passing effort for a sun belt or fcs team against GT’s defense, especially considering we were able to run it at will in the first half, which should have made the play action game very dangerous. Not sure what that was about, but we will lose if it happens again, even against a Tulane or Virginia.

Fortunately the defense played very well.

Lmao.

"Probably?" Can you outline a scenario where we have 2 losses, haven't won our conference, just lost our last game, and remain ranked in the top 4? I'd love to hear it.

Don't see it that way, Gunner made some tough hardnosed runs while Tech was hitting him late and trying to knock him out of the game. He is one tough son of a Gun.

They were all jacked up on piss & vinegar. They could go 1-11 every year and would be totally cool with it so long as that win was against Georgia.
