Nothing I would like more than for this to have worked out for Petrino. A clean slate is needed but damn, wish he could coach us again. It is for the best to move on.

I've told this story two or three times on here, but it's a true story.
After Pittman accepted the OL job at Georgia, I personally saw him in the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Wedington wearing his Georgia polo before he'd even left town. No matter what, I think that shits funny and was a decent troll, but yes. He's fricking petty and he didn't have any real reason to walk around Fayetteville wearing the gear of a different team before he even moved other than to stick it to everyone.

Told a story on here a few years ago about a friend who had first-hand interaction with him, saying Sam was a stuck up a-hole. Surprised me at the time. Got downvoted into oblivion for it, but doesn't make it any less true.
The good ol boy Sam thing was a big act, IMO.

It may not be that we're all square with Petrino and the past, but he did a great job of making it look that way.

I thought Nudie was out of line for calling him out on X but now I'm siding with Nudie. He basically said he only cares about himself then deleted it. This was last year.

Once his luster wore off and he got his panties in a bunch on twitter he went from likeable drunk uncle to petty prick it all went downhill.
No telling how many guys had their careers almost ruined by him. Teesla being a prime example.
