Bama will be a 4 seed if they win the SEC, especially if UGA doesn’t even get to Atlanta.

Indiana isn't going to drop out of the top 4
The only thing that could blow stuff up is if Michigan beats Ohio State
Otherwise, probably
Ohio State
Texas A&M
Indiana
Georgia
Another question, since the committee stupidly removed the conference championship requirement for a bye....if Alabama beats Texas A&M, should they move ahead of Georgia? Why would Georgia get a bye over the SEC Champion?

Indiana has no business hosting.

Indiana, and all of the top 4 actually won't be "hosting" anything...they just get byes
Going to 16 and getting rid of the byes would solve this

I doubt Alabama would jump a 1-loss Georgia in the rankings unless they look terrible against Tech and the Tide blows out A&M.
Indiana would stay in the top 4 with a close loss, but if that were the case, I think they would win, and OSU might slide to #5.

I'm not sure about A&M. And Texas Tech is probably not going to be in the T4

UGA would move to three if Bama beat Tamu, Bama would be 4.

How many times do we have to tell you idiots this…the SECG winnner no longer gets to automatically be in the top 4. They removed that rule this year.
Best case for Bama they jump to somewhere around #6. GA would move up to #3 or #2.

No one has any idea where an Alabama that won the SEC would be because no one has any idea how much the committee values quality wins vs simple number of losses regardless of schedule strength.
If the basketball committee were the example of valuing quality wins:
an Alabama team with wins at Georgia and Texas A&M on a neutral field plus 3 other Top 25 wins would absolutely be in the Top 4.
But with the committee now it seems they could just as well be behind every team with 1 loss.
No one really knows because the committee just says a lot of blurby talking points and doesn't really commit to precise criteria.

Indiana is not going to lose a spot to Georgia for playing an extra game

Only if they get killed by OSU

Ole Miss will honestly probably sneak into one of the byes

I don't think Alabama will jump Georgia this year either
My point is more theoretical, and a comment on the system. Should an At-Large Georgia get a bye over and SEC Champion Alabama, who the Bulldogs lost to? Does that make sense?

Bama has zero chance of being a 4 seed … I will take any amount of bets right now on that . Why you idiots keep saying this is so funny to me .

If I’m Tech I wouldn’t want a top 4. I would be chomping at the bit for a 5 seed home playoff game.

I agree. It's actually something -- if you follow college basketball -- that the selection committee slowly worked out over time to where they pretty much separate teams by the number of quality wins and the absolute best wins before anything else.
Now, more top ranked teams try to play as many other good teams as possible.
The football committee seems too often stuck in the old AP poll logic with some "we're such experts we can eye test the teams better than looking at who they beat" thrown in.

Ohio State
Indiana
Texas A&M
Georgia
Since conference championships don’t factor, I can see a one loss SEC and Big 10 loser still getting a bye. Big 12 Champ ain’t getting it
