Moving the goalposts already are we? I will again reiterate the hypocrisy of this board who for four fricking years shat on Brian Kelly and now is magically trying to act like he was a good coach for us.

I'm not sure how pointing our facts is moving the goal post.

And I never said Brian Kelly was good, but what I am saying is Kiffin hasn't shown the ability to win consistently against quality competition.

The OP doesn't suggest Kelly is a good coach.

It's suggesting Kiffin might be a downgrade.

No. He’s just better than what you’re about to be stuck with.

BK's winning percentage against T25 teams and overall is better than LK's, right? If so, Sidewalk is going to have to dig deep to defend this hire

Get ready for the long line of excuses. Is Lane a good hire for LSU, sure. Especially given the dumpster fire the program has been recently.

But making him out to be a savior is idiotic, he could just as easily blow up like he did at USC. He really seems like Lane performs better at Tier 2 schools like FAU and Ole Miss.

Kiffin has never seen a pressure cooker like the job he is about to step into if rumors can be believed. Like I said, hope he has an ironclad contract after LSU kicks him to the curb in less than four years

Maybe Tennessee. And he stayed one year and left in the middle of the night.

Lane was a good fit for Ole Miss, we will see how it works out at LSU now.

Hardly anyone here was even considering that Kiffin wasn't a good coach until it starting to look like he was going LSU. Now all of a sudden he's not a good coach.

He's a good coach, not a great one. Might be enough for LSU

What is Kiffin's best accomplishment as a HC? I'll hang up and listen.

Count me as one that thinks he is a douche and only an ok coach. He is gonna rake LSwho over the coals and be gone in 4 years or less. Bookmark it!

His memorable accomplishments are his childish antics. Leaving Tennessee, fired at USC, Saban tired of him at Alabama, and now leaving Ole Miss out to dry during a playoff run.

Dude is truly classless.

He coached at Bama as an OC, USC as a HC, UT as a HC, and the Raiders as a HC. He's seen it all. LSU is not too big for Joey Freshwater. Just lock up your wives and daughters.
