Is it as elite as the Bama job?
Nope.
Is there less heat there and could Kalen win some championships there? Probably.
Kalen was probably a little shocked at all the anger last year so early his career. This might be his opportunity at escaping before getting canned...
AND, he may just be too nice for this fanbase.
I think he leaves and I hope we go all out for Kiffin.

No you’re creating thread about a whole bunch of assumptions and making predictions about that.

Deboer is going no where. Which is good. I get frustrated as hell sometimes at the guy. But he’s a good coach and he’s building something. A new thread didn’t need to be started.

Just feeding the stupid hypothetical narrative when we have the biggest game of the year in a week.
DeBoer isn't going anywhere and he's a heck of alot better coach than Kiffin.

We'd want him strung up as well. As soon as he blows a game after tweeting through the week we will say he isn't cut out and start looking for the next savior.

Its tough at Penn State too.
Note they just fired the guy that brought them to the CFP just last year

Uh, James Franklin was just canned because he can't win the big game at PSU. I just don't see anyone beating OSU/Oregon/Indiana consistently unless Penn State massively ups their NIL game.
Not saying OSU/Oregon/Indiana can't be beat but they all have more talent than Penn State and way better coaches than James Franklin.

Well the positive in reading some of these takes over the last 24 hours is that I will never ever pay attention to downvotes on this board again.
Please read this very carefully and as many times as it takes for it to sink in:
Lane Kiffin will never, ever coach at Bama because none of our big money donors would ever cut a check to hire him or to support a roster coached by him.
It would be a rebellion that would make the alumni turmoil at Auburn look like a snowball fight.

This could be true.

Penn state will land someone like Hartline or Patricia i think. Which i would think is who they are targeting.

Someone is getting fleeced.

They'd be idiots not to hire one of those two.
1. They've both been very good in their roles (Hartline is the best WR recruiter I've ever seen).
2. It would hurt a major conference opponent.
I think the issue with hiring Hartline is that the second Day leaves for the NFL or whatever, Hartline will be the first call to take over at anOSU.

Ultimately, DeBoer leaving here after two seasons - I do not expect it - would just be an indication that he thinks he doesn't have the stuff for this job. If it happens, I would not cry too much over it because every coach who has left here on their own accord has never achieved the same degree of success at their next school.

That is a good point. Has there been any smoke or rumors about Day jumping to NFL?

Wtf does that even mean in this context? Please explain

He’s got another stud recruiting class coming in and he’s one game away from a championship game appearance. This is very likely just Sexton doing Sexton things.
