True pipe dream. Lanning ain't going no where and why would he. Oregon will match anything LSU throws at him and who wants to live in a ghetto surrounded by a swamp when you can live in the Pacific Northwest.

On his 1st contract with Oregon, it is alleged, that 2 SEC schools had a reduced buyout provision for him. I don't know if that's the case still. Nothings ever been publicly mentioned, I assume one of those schools was Georgia.

If chicken man will fund them, I have no doubt they will throw a bunch of money at someone. It should be interesting to see what the buyout is. I imagine that part of the negotiations will be a stickler for them going forward.

You have been on the LSU Delusions Coaching Changes Board, haven't you?
They still see themselves as this top job that everyone wants, not they dumpster fire they are in reality..

You’ll take Kenny Dingleberry or Eli Drunktits and you will like it.

Would be a great hire if LSU got him. When Bama was looking after Saban, I had said that Lanning was the one guy I didn't want to see at Bama. I think he's a great coach both in coaching the defense and running a program (talent acquisition of all kinds, talent evaluation, game planning... every aspect).
There are a lot of pretty good coaches out there. He's one of the few I think is going to be elite (at the multiple NC level). I like him fare away in Oregon.
